On a Sunday morning this road, and a route leading all the way to the cathedral, is closed to cars and only open to cyclists, skaters, walkers and the like. You can hire bikes in several places but you'd best arrive early as the heat makes sure everyone is up with the birds.

Walk up & down tis street for a taste of old Merida. Or go on Sunday morning to rent a bike and do a Biciruta when they block car traffic.
