To get a good feel for the area and to get some great views of Penobscot Bay, no place is better than Mount Battie. Hike or drive to the top, you won't regret it. Road to top is closed once snow is on the ground.

The view from the top is just so darn beautiful. You can see mountains and ocean, all at the same time.
