Our home is an original 1790 log cabin with 1857 additions, also features modern amenities, including a chef's kitchen. Multiple outdoor venues, extensive grounds and amazing views of a 4-seasons garden, the C&O Canal National Park, and the Potomac river. Enjoy a creative retreat, nature, history, adventure, romance.

Grouseland's Pondside Vacation Cottage

Set about a quarter mile off the road, our pet friendly solar powered vacation cottage is a perfect getaway for anyone trying to spend some alone time with nature! Guests have complete privacy inside the cottage with a full kitchen, two TV's, Wi-Fi, and a mini split system for heating and cooling. As well as exclusive access to the hot tub, fire pit and pond outside! We also have various shared hiking trails through the woods surrounding the cottage for campers and cottage guests to enjoy!

You'll also have easy access to our small-town amenities while being a short drive from some of West Virginia's favorite destinations like Spruce Knob and Seneca Rocks. You can also stay in and enjoy the mountain view without ever leaving the back porch.

Camp Potomac Peak was recently (Nov 2024) named the best place to stay in the Eastern Panhandle by WV Living Magazine.
