Located between the village of East Linton and the market town of Haddington, Over Hailes is the perfect base from which to explore all that East Lothian has to offer. The cottages are only a 15-20 minute drive from world-class golf courses in North Berwick, Gullane and Dunbar; not to mention the stunning local beaches and coastline. There is easy access to Edinburgh City Centre from our local train station in East Linton ( 5 min drive to the station, trains to Edinburgh Waverley take 18-24 min)

Craigiehall Temple (historic property built 1759)

Make your trip to Edinburgh truly memorable with a stay at Craigiehall Temple. Built in 1759 and situated in its own grounds on a former part of the Craigiehall Estate, its Grade A listed for its stunning portico displaying the arms of the 1st Marquess of Annandale. A plaque on the wall carries a quote from Horace: "Dum Iicet in rebus jucundis vive beatus", "Live happy while you can among joyful things". We hope that a stay at the Temple will deliver this experience and stay true to this vision

TBWB is a rural off grid eco retreat nestled in the heart of East Lothian, Scotland. This enchanting space is ideal for walkers, couples, and their furry companions. Disconnect from technology and immerse yourself in the tranquillity of nature. Here, you won't find a TV or WiFi, but we offer an extensive collection of books, games, a radio, and even an outdoor bath and new bespoke wood burning sauna for ultimate relaxation. With every booking made we will be planting a tree on the farm.

Peebles is 10 minutes walk away, with a host of shops and restaurants, as well as a museum and award winning chocolatier.

Beautiful, quaint 16th century cottage, lovingly restored as a dedicated holiday cottage. Located in the heart of an old farm guests can enjoy peace and quiet, beautiful views and owners on site. The cottage has benefited from a complete refurb in 2020 and an enclosed private garden. We sit directly on the river bank and walkway to Haddington and East Linton and a bus link directly into Edinburgh in 45 mins. We are around 15mins drive to the coast and North Berwick.
