Shepherd’s View is our bespoke shepherds hut, in an elevated position next to our lake, giving beautiful views across farmland, Blackwater River & the hills of Glenshee. Our hut is 22ft x 8ft, slightly larger than some with a double bed, en-suite shower-room, fold-away dining ledge & stools, snuggle sofa, smart TV, WiFi, electric heating, a wood burner & private hot tub. Our comfortable, cleverly-designed Blackdown Shepherd Hut is on a hillside, with lovely views, stretching to the Firth of Forth and beyond. You can enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside, whilst in easy reach of the best Fife has to offer! Everything you need for a delicious breakfast is provided - eggs from our hens and ducks, locally-produced Puddledub bacon or veggie sausages if you prefer, bread from a local bakery, butter, jam. You'll also find coffee, tea, and milk in the Hut.

Our cosy and modern (it has electricity and running water, fridge) shepherd’s hut has two rooms- perfect for couples or small families. A double bed in the main room, with wood burner, table and sofa. The back room houses a single sofa bed, perfect for a wee one. Outside there’s a hot tub, kitchen with gas hob and BBQ. The Birder’s Bothy is an off-grid shepherd’s hut with a veranda, set in a sunny spot in the open woodland behind the castle at Bamff, with plenty of space around it to relax and enjoy the outdoors. The surrounding native woods are full of birdsong, and the Bamff beaver wetlands are a five minute walk away. Discover the gorgeous landscape that surrounds this place to stay. The Birder’s Bothy is on the Cateran Trail. We can arrange transport to and from any other sections of the trail.
