Come enjoy our relaxing water front cottage on Broad Creek! We have a new private dock where you can tie up your boat and a ramp right beside property. We have two kayaks that you may use during your stay. This is a great location only 5 miles to Oriental and just 30 miles to visit New Bern. We have a 50 inch Roku TV in living room. Fiber Internet is available during your stay. Two bedrooms each have queen beds and a pull out couch in the living room. Our cottage sleeps 6.

In 2015 we had traveled the eastern coastline looking for a place we could settle into as our vacation home. When we drove over the bridge into Oriental to look at property, it brought on the nostalgia of when we had visited Exuma in the Bahamas; the small town feeling where local arts, festivals and personalties made it unique. A town that you could step off the front porch and stroll to the town beach or walk to dinner.

Neuse river is a bike ride away with another fishing pier 2 pickle ball courts and playground less than 1/2 mile from the house. A stop for greenway cyclists and a hugh area for sail boat novoelists. You can take the Minnesott ferry on your way to Atlantic Beach.

Convenient to Bayboro, Vanceboro, Cherry Point, Havelock, Morehead City and the beach.(No cleaning fee.)

Carriage House on the Neuse River

It is a perfect place to rest and relax and enjoy country, river life. The carriage house is 650 sq feet of open living space with a full bath, queen size bed, living area and full size kitchen on the second floor of our carriage house. It is private. There is a deck with wonderful views of boating and sunsets. You have access to our dock for sun bathing, fishing and swimming.
