Emma’s Cottage is close to great views, family-friendly activities, Nauvoo sites and the Historic Nauvoo Temple. You’ll love it because of the comfy bed, the coziness, the river views, privacy, peacefulness and close to everything.. It is good for couples, families, solo adventurers, and business travelers. The cottage was build around the 1940’s . If you enjoy privacy in an authentic environment then you’ll love it. There is a dock on my property, but it is private and not for guest use.

Captains Quarters Treehouse

An off the grid whimsical gem in the Ten Acre Treehouse forest! "The Captains Quarters". This is the 2nd treehouse in rural Nauvoo. A lot of the same touches found in "The Whitetail". The first treehouse here, you will find in this nautical inspired creation. This treehouse is a full 2 story, 400 sq foot, and features second story bedroom, sleeper sofa on the first floor, small kitchen area with refrigerator/freezer, microwave, coffee maker, plates, silverware, cups and a sink!

Located 1½ miles north of Keokuk, nestled on a bluff overlooking the Mississippi River, the Tree of Life River retreat is located in a cozy, private, walk-out lower level (with hosts living above). There's a private bedroom with a queen bed and another sleeping area with four twin beds, perfect for one person or a family. Relax, enjoy nature, and take advantage of our large backyard. We are located approximately 18 miles from downtown Nauvoo via the bridge in Keokuk.

Twenty minutes from Nauvoo, this is one of the closest towns to Nauvoo with grocery stores and is just the right distance for the kids to fall asleep. This is the ground floor apartment in our gable-front stucco house. Built in 1841, our home is a contributing structure to Fort Madison's Park-to-Park Residential Historic District. It features a newly renovated kitchen and bathroom, as well as beautiful hardwood floors throughout the space. We're located three blocks from the restored Santa Fe Depot, our front porch overlooks Fort Madison's Central Park, and we're a short drive (25 minutes) from Nauvoo.

Right between our bustling business district and our nostalgic downtown, this little house has vast character. My favorite feature is all the original built-ins and beams. We welcome guests to our 1880 Sonora Town Hall Cottage. This building once served as a voting poll for the Sonora Township. It is now a beautiful boutique cottage for overnight guests staying in the Nauvoo area. We are located on a working grain farm 6 miles southeast of Nauvoo. PLEASE NOTE: NO SMOKING or VAPING on the premises. We do have security cameras outside of the town hall building, which provide security and lighting for all guests.

The Vernon Street Guest House - Suite 2

Built in 1900 and renovated in 2022, Suite 2 shows little signs of the once quirky old space. Completely private, with all the amenities, it boasts a spacious bedroom, 1 bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, living room with a desk for workspace, and a laundry room. While you're here, we hope you are able to relax and enjoy the well lit deck along with a cup of freshly roasted coffee, which we are happy to have provided.

Nauvoo's Old Stone Church

Known as "The Old Stone Church," "The Legion Hall," "The Temple Stone Church," or "The Old Methodist Church," this building has a remarkable story to tell. Every group who has been in what is now Nauvoo, has played a part in its history. ​ It has now been thoroughly renovated, and serves as an elegant vacation home for those visiting Nauvoo, and looking for an historic experience, with all the modern luxuries.
