The Stonehouse at Treman State Park

The c.1822-24 stone house located at 4 Stonehouse Road is a rare, five-bay center hall house, built entirely from field stone. Many of its original features like fireplace surrounds, doors, hardware, and window surrounds are intact, or fully restored. The last surviving owner's will specified that her entire estate would go to the Finger Lakes Land Trust for a nature preserve that borders the Robert Treman State Park, making this a private getaway just minutes from gorgeous hikes and waterfalls.

House on the Hill

A tiny house with the comforts of home. Single Bedroom stair free in-law suite with amazing sunsets and the feeling of being in the middle of the woods while still being close enough to enjoy a reasonable drive to some of the Finger Lakes best hiking trails, food, wineries and other destination locations. If you come in the winter you will want an all wheel drive vehicle if there is snow on the roads, but half a mile down the hill and you are on the state highway to the finger lakes region.

Cozy Wooded Escape Outside of Ithaca, NY

A cozy escape at the base of the Finger Lakes. Enjoy a day dining in Ithaca or Watkins Glenn, walking through family owned shops on the Commons, exploring the state parks and waterfalls, relaxing at the wineries, or touring Cornell University/Ithaca College. Then, return back to our secluded apartment that sits at the front of 23 acres. End your day at the firepit for some s'mores in the backyard! As fall approaches it is the perfect time to enjoy the foliage, fare, and festivals downtown!

A short walk uphill 2 outdoor hot water on demand private shower & porta potty. Well water from sink & spiquot. No firewood can come in b/c of invasive species so we sell bundles on porch. Park next to cabin. Near Ithaca, Watkins Glen, State Parks- Treman, Buttermilk, Taughannock & Watkins Glen & 60 wineries/breweries around Lakes Seneca & Cayuga.

Our place is perfect for those wanting a peaceful, quiet country experience. The rooms are tastefully decorated in bohemian french country with chandeliers and the rustic interior of an 1800s barn. Our property is host to numerous bird species and wildlife. Nature preserves, trail and gorge hiking, public swimming, local wineries are minutes away from our convenient location. Cultural attractions in downtown Ithaca and Cayuga Lake recreation are a quick 10 mile drive.
