Costa Lourens nasce recuperando un antico cascinale del 1832 in località Costa Lorenzo, nel cuore delle Valli valdesi, ad una quota di 750 mt, circondato da boschi di castagno. Nel 2004 inizia l'attività ricettiva con un alloggio indipendente. Dal 2014, completando la ristrutturazione dell'immobile (travature in legno a vista, copertura in lose, murature in pietra del luogo) è attivo il servizio di ristorazione.
