Craigiehall Temple (historic property built 1759)

Built in 1759 and situated in its own grounds on a former part of the Craigiehall Estate, its Grade A listed for its stunning portico displaying the arms of the 1st Marquess of Annandale. Only 7 minutes walk to the train station and a 15 minute journey to Edinburgh, 40 minutes by bus and 15 minutes by car to the airport.

Welcome to SHEP – your cosy shepherd’s hut on a vintage military lorry, nestled along an old railway line on our family farm in the Scottish Borders. Snuggle up by the wood-burning stove in winter or throw open the French doors for a summer BBQ. Ideal for couples, families or solo stays. Optional wood-fired hot tub – £70 per stay (please book in advance). Pre-light service can be requested but is not always available. Extra logs can be purchased for £15 per bag.

If you are looking for a quiet and cosy getaway then “The Stables” is a wonderful choice. The Stables are within the grounds of Harburn House so is a perfect choice if you are visiting us for an event. The closest train station runs services to both Edinburgh and Glasgow so you will be in a great location for visiting both cities. We would be delighted to welcome couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, families, and big groups. No pets please.
