The Phoenix official Earthship cannot be compared to any other rental in this world. This home’s jungle greenhouse creates its own microclimate in the high mountain desert and is completely off-the-grid, exquisitely detailed and outfitted with modern amenities. The outer greenhouse features towering banana trees, grape vines, birds, turtles and even a fish pond. The inner living spaces are cozy and quiet. Viento del Rio is a perfect place to absorb the serenity of the Abiquiu area. Located off the beaten path (but not too far) centrally located to many area wonders. There are numerous places to hike nearby. Views of mountains (including Pedernal) in all directions are stunning. Nearby attractions include Plaza Blanca, Georgia O'Keefe Welcome Center and Ghost Ranch. Easy drive to Taos and Santa Fe. A truly lovely place to rest, relax and take in all the nearby sites and activities.

Like all Earthships this house is built from natural and repurposed materials such as used automobile tires, cardboard, old cans and bottles. All electricity for the house is from solar. All water is from the sky. More comfort, less hippie.

The quaint village of Dixon (an artist and vineyard, orchard, organic farm community) is just a mile away.

Farmhouse Casita in scenic Llano San Juan 10 minutes off the High Road to Taos. Full kitchen and bath with washer dryer. Private fenced yard with garden, patio table and lounge chair. Fire pit with wood. Spectacular mountain views and 10 farm acres to roam. Pets are OK but only small dogs inside. (kennel and/or fenced yard available for bigger dogs or ones that shed profusely). Designated parking space and room for RVs. High speed Wifi is available.

Grandmas Ol'House is a cozy little house next to the main highway, and 10 miles from the Sipapu Ski Loge. There is also great places to go tubbing, hiking, and bike riding. There are a couple of grocery stores, restaurants, and gas stations for your convenience. If you are looking for a nice peaceful getaway, then this is a great place to stay!
