Escape from the crowds and enjoy a real Roman experience in the tranquillity of this minimal, modern flat in a quiet corner nestled into the city's magnificent Aurelian Walls. Clean lines, crisp white walls, and sleek wood and metal finishing create an airy, up-to-date feel. The flat has an open-plan kitchen-living space, two bedrooms and one bathroom. It can accommodate up to three guests plus younger children. We’ve taken a lot of care to try and make sure your stay is as comfy and hassle-free as possible. There are various possible sleeping combinations so please ask if you need a particular arrangement. A child’s cot is available on request. Dogs are welcome and we can provide a dog’s bed. There’s wi-fi and air-conditioning in every room. Appliances include TV-DVD combo, dishwasher, washing machine and almost everything else you might need. The furniture is brand new except when it’s rather old. You can borrow from our collection of guidebooks, cookbooks, novels and DVDs during your stay. The flat overlooks the Aurelian Walls with 'Parco delle Mura Aureliane' in one direction and 'Parco degli Scipioni' in the other, both less than 2 minutes’ walk away. Just across the road is the covered market of Piazza Epiro, great for typical fresh local produce. Many major attractions are nearby: the Basilica of San Giovani in Laterano, the Baths of Caracalla, Circus Maximus and the Colosseum, the Museum of the Walls, the Catacombs, and the beautiful Basilica of St. Stephen in the Round. BUSES 360 to Termini Central Station 628 to Town Centre 218, 360 and 665 to San Giovanni Metro METRO San Giovanni and Piazza Re di Roma are both 10 minutes away on foot. And 218, 360 and 665 buses run from San Giovanni to Piazza Epiro. ON FOOT You can reach a lot of attractions on foot. For example, the Colosseum is about 20 minutes' pleasant walk away. TAXIS The nearest taxi rank is at Piazza Tuscolo a few minutes' walk away. CYCLE You can hire bicycles locally from Info Point Appia Antica, Via Appia Antica, 58. This is a great way to visit the Appia Antica Park. SCOOTER HIRE Hiring a scooter is a great way to get around Rome. There are a couple of places in the centre that specialise in renting to tourists, e.g. BICI & BACI, Via del Viminale, 5. TOURIST TAX INCLUDED EXTRA BEDS We can host a maximum of 3 people over 12 years of age (municipal rules) but extra children are allowed. You can request: - an extra bed for a child under 12 years old (€15/night extra). It’s only needed if the other 3 beds are already occupied. - a child’s cot for a child under 2 years old (no extra charge). Please tell us about your extra needs when you book.

Dreamy Loft by the Opera Theater

I was for a long time a war correspondent and, in my journeys, I always made a point of bringing back a book, a carpet, a stone, a painting, a fragment of memory so that the world may live in my Roman home. The flat is available for brief stays but also for longer periods. Being less than a block away from the Opera Theatre, it could be the perfect base for singers and musicians. Giuseppe stayed here and this is what he had to say: "The flat is in a quiet street, off Monti. When you enter, it's all very charming. It's not a regular "B&B" experience, it's the flat of a woman who travels a lot for work. The result is very stylish and warm and full of wonderful details. We stayed here for ten days and we really felt at home." The entire 70 square meters loft is at your disposal. The loft has two areas, the living area and the sleeping area. Were you not inclined to walk, the loft is located between the two main metro lines - A and B - that take you to most of the sightseeing. There is plenty of silence and light. The light is important, I believe and the silence as well. The loft is on the 6th floor, with the elevator. Rivivi la storia della città eterna soggiornando in un antico palazzo del XVI secolo fatto costruire da un cardinale, a pochi passi dai Fori Imperiali. Le stanze sono ampie, accoglienti, arredate con gusto e molti pezzi di modernariato e design. The flat's warm and casually elegant atmosphere is in a unique location in front of the Imperial Forums and two minutes walk from the Colosseum,it's everything very easy to reach!The flat is composed of two wide rooms, in the living room there are a queen size sofa bed, a 50es dining table and a new fully equipped kitchenette. In the bedroom there is a king size bed with a double wardrobe and an easy writing desk. The bathroom is in the bedroom, so it would be much easier for a couple to share the apartment with a family member than a friend. The apartment is at the second floor without elevator. You will be hosted in a two rooms flat with bathroom and kitchenette. Many buses going in every directions of the city stops in the two closest main streets: Via dei Fori Imperiali and Via Cavour. Via del Colosseo is truly very well connected!!! If you are arriving from Termini Station you will take the subway/metro B direction Laurentina and you will step down to Colosseo stop.
