Eastmost Cottage is in a wonderful position on the edge of the historic village of Falkland. It's a short walk from the fine Renaissance Falkland Palace, the heart of the medieval village with its independent shops, cafes restaurants and pub. There is great walking in the Lomond hills, accessible on foot. The wonderful Covenanter has great food all day; the Hayloft and Pillars of Hercules are lovely cafes. The Stag is a lovely bistro (our fav). Fine dining at the Boar's Head in Auchtermuchty.

Log Cabin in Auchtertool.

The Log Cabin is situated in 3 acres of garden, shared only with our own house. Guests are welcome to make use of the garden. The Cabin sleeps five people and we have a travel cot if required. There is one large bedroom with two kingsize and one single beds. The Cabin does not have TV or wifi, however it does have an excellent 4G signal. We welcome well behaved pets, up to a maximum of two small dogs or one large dog, even a cat. We ask guests who bring pets to vacuum before they leave.

Just 3 minutes walk from the train station and 35 minutes by train from Edinburgh, this is a delightful, relaxing retreat with access to the city still on hand. This is Muma Bears house and it always will be. She was my Mother and this is what me and my girls always called her. She passed in June 2021 and i have spent the last year renovating her house. She was a force and i hope we have done her proud. I want the house to come alive. So welcome! Cosy up in front of the fire, play the piano and unwind in peace. Bring along your slippers. Get the board games out and relax with family and friends. Enjoy the sound of the fire at night.
