Because here you will have stunning private views of mountains during the day, and at night, you will have unpolluted views of the stars. Plus, motels are in cities. Here you will experience quiet. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets). I do have a 50.00 pet fee per dog up to 2 dogs only. It is located just above the entrance to the Smoke Hole Canyon with great fishing, beautiful scenery along the paved country curvy road. You can drive through the canyon and come out on Rt 28 just below the Smoke Hole caverns and gift shop. Then continue to Seneca Rocks and hike the rocks or drive to Nelson Rocks for zip lining.

Mountain view retreat #1

Get comfortable with mountain views and fresh, clean air at 3,200' altitude, close to Canaan Valley/Blackwater Falls State Parks. Also, Dolly Sods, Seneca Rocks and Spruce Knob (highest point of WV). Lots of hiking/biking trails. Unique shopping in Davis and Thomas with a variety of restaurants. Fast food? An adventurous, scenic drive goes to Parsons, with the only McDonald's and traffic light in the county. Relax on the back deck to view the horse pasture and the small private airport.

Tucked inside the oldest historic buildings on the main drag in Thomas and adorned with 135-year old plaster walls, original woodwork, encaustic tile and purple marble - this tastefully styled flat is for those looking for the transportive experience historic buildings deliver. With espresso, galleries, live music, shops, food, and drinks steps away, you have the forests and a tiny cityscape just steps out your door. Charming 120-year-old Victorian home in located in downtown Parsons within the border of the Monongahela National Forest. About 20 mins southeast of Davis, it's just a short drive from Canaan Valley, Timberline Ski Resort, Blackwater Falls, & a large network of trails & stunning scenery. Accommodations include 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, a fully equipped kitchen, on-site laundry & parking, TV, Wi-Fi, & a sleeper sofa in the living room. All bed & bath linens provided. Dogs only for a fee.

You're only a few minutes from all the major sites and attractions in the area.

Basement apartment in the middle of the valley!

This is a basement apartment in the heart of Canaan Valley. Less than 10 min drive to everything: Timeberline ski resort, Canaan Valley ski resort, incredibly fun local XC ski area Whitegrass, art galleries, amazing food options, breweries, and even distilleries! There are two state parks to hike and explore within 10 mins, and a beautiful wildlife refuge only one mile away. Whatever outdoor recreation you enjoy, Tucker Co has the best places to explore. And high speed WiFi.

Peaceful Off Grid Glamp Dome Canaan Valley/Davis

The dome is one large, open-concept space designed for a simple, cozy stay. It features a woodstove (firewood provided), an outhouse, and a gas grill with a side burner. Drinking water from our well is provided. Please bring your own ice for the cooler. Sheets, blankets, and pillows are included for your comfort. Guests park at Laurel River Club BnB and enjoy a short walk to the dome. Pets are welcome as long as they remain on a leash and are not left unattended in the dome.

Historic suite for 2 by river. Porch & Kitchenette

Stay in the masterfully crafted Lemuel Chenoweth homestead along the rippling Tygart river. Built in 1857, this 2nd floor suite offers antiques furnishings, a private entrance, master bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette, and mud room. It has a queen bed, dresser, large porch with views of the river, a clawfoot tub with shower, sink, toilet, and a well stocked farmhouse kitchenette with a double induction cook top, sink , fridge and more. We do not offer a TV. Near Elkins.

Though you'll enjoy the tranquility of this location, you're close to the town of Davis and downtown Thomas.
