The Bird's Nest - Cabin by the River

Located on one of the Seven Bends of the Shenandoah River, the Bird’s Nest is a brand new, custom built 800 square foot cabin featuring an open loft with king bed and skylights, steam shower, heated bathroom floor, and gas fireplace. Exterior amenities include a hot tub, gas grill, gas fire pit table, fire pit by the river, and private river access in a peaceful, wooded setting. Kayaks/tubes are available to use to float down the river with the unique ability to park/exit on the hosts’ property.

Our cabin, located in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains is uniquely positioned overlooking a large open field where hawks hunt and bears leisurely stroll. Our neighbors have horses that peer over the fence (nosy) pet them but don’t feed them, please. Our cabin was built in 1865 by a Confederate soldier returning from the Civil War. Eleven children were born and raised in John Pope Cabin. Our cabin is rustic. An inviting front porch with swing is waiting for you @walnuthillcabin

Shenandoah Log Cabin on beautiful farm

Absolutely charming historic log cabin on 87 acre farm set in the middle of the George Washington National Park. You will have unlimited walking and hiking access right out of your front door! Glenmont Farm is just a 90 minute drive from Washington DC. The cabin is well equipped with excellent central heating and air conditioning, fast WiFi service. The Cottage

Need some time to refresh? Spending time in the foothills of the Skyline Drive at our cozy cottage may be for you. Well behaved dogs are welcome but not on furniture. The driveway is long and home is very secluded. Winter access will be subject to weather conditions. Driveway does not get plowed and gets rutty during rainy periods. Cell service is spotty on Browntown road. The cottage has a landline and wifi. Use your wifi calling feature for cell phone use. More info under photos.

We offer a contemporary 3-bedroom furnished house in historic Fort Valley, Virginia. Nestled between the Massanutten Mountains, Edith Guest House provides a base for horseback riding, bicycling, hiking, kayaking, or parasailing activities. The house is furnished with new couches and beds complemented with antiques and art. The kitchen has table service for 8 and sufficient cooking equipment for full meal preparation. The garage is available for storage of tack or sports equipment.

If hiking isn't your thing, don't worry, the views from the porch are incredible. We suggest grilling out on the wrap-around deck while you watch the deer graze their dinner. Then get a great night's sleep on super-comfortable beds.
