Delightful country cottage in a farm setting with animals often on site. Cosy wood burner for chilly evenings. Private garden with firepit, BBQ and relaxing chairs. Beautiful and tranquil location in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Access to miles of footpaths from the front door, including the West Mendip Way. Close to Cheddar Gorge, Wells and Bath, as well as many other beauty spots and attractions. A good selection of pubs and restaurants, some accessible on foot. Dogs welcome, max 2.

Quirky Tin Cottage near the Mendip Hills

Our cottage is a quirky wooden framed, tin clad cottage, sitting on the banks of a stream, next to our house. Although small it feels much bigger with a fully equipped kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. It can sleep 4 people with the use of the sofa bed. It features a wood burning stove, (it also has central heating ;-)), a gorgeous mural across one wall, a veranda for sitting and watching the world go by, oh and it also has full WiFi, smart TV and sound system if this all sounds a little rustic.

Wendale Barn is a beautifully renovated, compact, detached building, the perfect place to relax on the edge of Cheddar. With private patio, decking and stunning views of the reservoir and Glastonbury Tor. Private, romantic, the ideal getaway, with double bed upstairs and sofa-bed in the living room; although it is open plan, so the shared space isn’t private. Access is via a run of steps up the hillside, some garden terraces are up to 1.1m high, without guardrails and there is a shallow pond.

Wren's Nest, studio in wildlife friendly garden

Located in a small hamlet, close to Cheddar, Wren's Nest was designed by an artist as a rural retreat in a tranquil location. The accommodation has a light, airy feel and has been thoughtfully created in a contemporary style with quirky, personal touches. It is located at the end of our wildlife friendly garden. There is a designated area with table and chairs in front of the studio. A pizza oven is available to use on request. Well behaved dogs are welcome by prior arrangement with the owner.

Hello! We are Rob and Kate and we have poured our heart and soul into our guest house. Tucked away on the outskirts of sleepy Lympsham, enjoy the countryside around you whilst resting your legs after walking the renowned mendips. Enjoy a glass of wine whilst watching the many birds in the surrounding trees or be a little more adventurous with the numerous local cycle routes. We look forward to meeting you on your stay. Solar-powered lighting and mains sockets, double and single bed, a fully equipped kitchen, hot water washing up just outside the door — all a ten minute stroll away from The George, an award-winning pub.

Large modern annex situated within the Mendip Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Fabulous views front and back to the hills and across the Somerset Levels. Great base for exploring Cheddar Gorge, Wookey Hole, Wells, Priddy and much more with walking trails starting at the house. Ideal Studio for quiet work, for couples on a break, and young families. A stones throw from the famous Cheddar Gorge and Cliffs . Access to lovely walks and bike trails direct from your door , and yet a short stroll to pubs , cafes and restaurants. Wood stoves for those chillier nights to keep things cosy , we provide all wood/kindling . You will need to manage the stove yourself , a relatively easy task .
