Because here you will have stunning private views of mountains during the day, and at night, you will have unpolluted views of the stars. Plus, motels are in cities. Here you will experience quiet. Located less than 5 minutes from Deep Creek Lake and perched among the foliage, our treehouse offers a panoramic perspective of the surrounding forest, granting its visitors an unparalleled vantage point to observe nature's wonders. Relax in the hot tub and take in an amazing sunset. The home is a harmonious blend of locally-crafted art and furniture to add rustic charm and modern comfort.

Mountain view retreat #1

Get comfortable with mountain views and fresh, clean air at 3,200' altitude, close to Canaan Valley/Blackwater Falls State Parks. Also, Dolly Sods, Seneca Rocks and Spruce Knob (highest point of WV). Lots of hiking/biking trails. Unique shopping in Davis and Thomas with a variety of restaurants. Fast food? An adventurous, scenic drive goes to Parsons, with the only McDonald's and traffic light in the county. Relax on the back deck to view the horse pasture and the small private airport.

Dandy Flats - The Quaintrelle

Tucked inside the oldest historic buildings on the main drag in Thomas and adorned with 135-year old plaster walls, original woodwork, encaustic tile and purple marble - this tastefully styled flat is for those looking for the transportive experience historic buildings deliver. With espresso, galleries, live music, shops, food, and drinks steps away, you have the forests and a tiny cityscape just steps out your door. Tree House

Wintertime readiness: When we have snow, 4-wheel or All-wheel drive will be best. Watch the weather. Un plug at Tree House. There is no Wi-Fi. We provide a TV w/ DVDs. There’s a cabin smart phone for your use if you do not have phone service. A 15 minute drive takes you to Thomas, WV for food and art and music (and Wi-Fi).Five more minutes and you are in Davis for Blackwater Falls State Park. A few more miles down the road find two alpine ski areas and White Grass Ski Touring Center.

This cozy aframe is a perfect glamping getaway for two! You'll stay on 20 acres with over 700 feet of frontage on Abrams Creek. Ready to unplug? The aframe is completely off grid with solar energy and a wood-fired stove. Sleep in luxury with fine linens and a queen size bed, but spend your day splashing in the crystal clear creek and hiking through the forest. Enjoy your evening playing cornhole while dinner cooks on the grill, topped off with a favorite beverage around the campfire.

Less than 10 min drive to everything: Timeberline ski resort, Canaan Valley ski resort, incredibly fun local XC ski area Whitegrass, art galleries, amazing food options, breweries, and even distilleries! There are two state parks to hike and explore within 10 mins, and a beautiful wildlife refuge only one mile away. Whatever outdoor recreation you enjoy, Tucker Co has the best places to explore. And high speed WiFi.

Stay in the masterfully crafted Lemuel Chenoweth homestead along the rippling Tygart river. Built in 1857, this 2nd floor suite offers antiques furnishings, a private entrance, master bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette, and mud room. It has a queen bed, dresser, large porch with views of the river, a clawfoot tub with shower, sink, toilet, and a well stocked farmhouse kitchenette with a double induction cook top, sink , fridge and more. We do not offer a TV. Near Elkins.
