Cozy Cabin - Trails Galore

This cozy cabin is located in Crawford County, Michigan, known for its military & State owned land. 60% of the county is available for recreation including ORV and snowmobile trails, XC skiing, kayaking, biking and hiking. The cabin is surrounded by ORV and snowmobile trails. It is centrally located in the northern part of the lower peninsula for easy day trips to areas such as Mackinac Island and Traverse City. Higgins lake, with a small beautiful beach is just a 5 minute drive from the cabin.

Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape. Once a barn for tack and hay, now a peaceful studio suite with all of the modern amenities, including a full bath, kitchen, and laundry. Enjoy the view of the nature preserve which is home to a plethora of wildlife. Or spend the evening watching a movie on the Roku TV, playing board games, or listening to music on the turntable.

Get lost up north! Whether it's a fun filled summer vacation or a cozy winter getaway you are looking for, Lazy Bear Lodge has it all! Come experience bonfires, roasted s'mores and hot dogs, toasty feet by the indoor fireplace, warm soaks in the jetted tub, flattop or charcoal grilling, a rambunctious game of Foosball, watching the day pass by on the expansive screened in porch, and so much more. We have a beautiful built 1000 sq ft Aframe! Recently installed a 100 inch theater system in the livingroom! Cabin is in Lakes of the North, which offers a perfect getaway for the outdoorsman. Side by Side trails! We offer 2 kayaks to use (must transport) cornhole boards & bags, trail riding your UTV/ORV, hiking, rafting at Jordan Valley Outfitter, snowmobiling. & many fine dining restaurants, several ski resorts and short day trips! Additionally, a 90 jet hottub for ultimate relaxation!

A well-maintained, camper situated in a secluded location. This cozy, inviting camper offers the perfect space for communing with nature yet out of the elements. With full bathroom facilities, electricity, heat/ac and water. Just steps away from pristine State Forest land, providing a peaceful and nature-immersed retreat. Pet friendly location. This campsite offers homey ammenities like television and wifi. Let our home away from home be your temporary home away from home.

Higgins Lake getaway

Our little getaway just under an acre & offers plenty of room for tents, boats & toys. 1st floor bdrm has a queen bed w/window air unit, loft has full bed & full futon w/window air unit, we remove units in the cooler months. bathroom has tub/shower, & kitchen has full amenities. Cabin accommodates 6+ people. Our cabin is a great place whether you are coming up to enjoy the lake, Mackinaw Island, Traverse City, the Fall color tours, hunting, or winter activities.

Sunset Fox Den w/ Hot Tub & River Float Rentals

Please note that our family-owned canoe rental operates on the property during daytime hours, adding a fun and lively riverfront atmosphere. Evenings are wonderfully peaceful, making it the perfect place to unwind, enjoy the sunset, and experience the quiet side of Northern Michigan. As our family business grows, an additional guest lodge may be added nearby in the future, allowing us to welcome more visitors while maintaining the property’s relaxing Up North feel.

Larkin’s Cabin is fully updated & one mile from beautiful Higgins Lake!! This cabin has all the comforts of home with no sparing on that northern Michigan feel. In summer, spend the days swimming, boating or fishing & the nights cozied up by the bon fire. Winter, enjoy ice fishing, snowmobiling, or cross-country skiing with 11 miles of trails just a mile away. There's also plenty of space for entertaining inside & out with ample parking for boats & trailers.

Carey's Cabin

Relax at our quiet place in the woods. Just a short drive to Higgins, Houghton or Kneff lake. Also the AuSable river is near by for fishing canoeing/kayaking. Forest Dunes Golf club and many other Golf courses are not faraway. If you like the ORV trails you can enjoy riding right out of the driveway. We are surrounded by state land for those whom like to hunt when in season. This is definitely an all seasons location for all your outdoor pleasures.
