This cozy apartment of 500 sq ft is perfect for 2, but can accommodate 4 with the queen bedroom and the futon which makes into a queen size bed. No TV. Monte Vista is a small rural town.

The Mushroom Yurt

Off-grid rustic Mushroom yurt. This little yurt can sleep up to four people. It has a bunk bed cot and a queen size tri-fold mattress. There is a picnic table, a propane bbq grill, a fire pit, and an outhouse. Taos is approximately 30 miles, Red River 20 miles and Questa is 9 miles away. Cell service is good. The yurt has a solar power system to charge your devices. The yurt is heated. Sunshine rd is plowed in the winter, the driveway is not plowed.

Our Big Bow Cabin accommodates up to 10 guests with 3 queen-sized beds, two twin beds and fold-down futon with 2 and 1/2 bathrooms. Full-sized kitchen is equipped to meet all your needs. You are sure to have a great time. PLEASE NOTE: fly fishing may not be available for the rest of the 2026 season due to extremely low water levels and high temps. The Cutbow Ranch is a truly one of a kind stay. This cabin sits on the banks of the San Antonio River that has been renovated with the fly fisher in mind. The property boasts nearly 200 private acres with almost 1 full mile of private river.Spring and Fall are best times for fishing. The property also has walking trails NOTE! Dry conditions due to widespread drought have caused river to become unfishable. Fall will see river back up.
