The area is popular for walking, mountain biking, SUPs, canoe hire and wild swimming. There is easy access to the River Wye for some stunning wild swims only a 20 minute walk through the village. There are 3 pubs, 2 churches, a hairdressers, a doctors surgery, a chippy and the excellent village shop with post office.

Quiet stone cottage in rural location 200m to the forest surrounding the Wye Valley. The large wrap around garden enjoys views to the East and the North with secluded patio seating area. Great for walking the dogs, mountain biking, canoeing, caving, adventure activities or relaxing in front of the fire. Only 100m from local pub and 20mins ride to the cycle centre. The cottage is a great place to unwind and enjoy the Forest of Dean and also to explore South Wales and surrounding historic towns

The Annex at The Oaks

The Annex is a separate building on two floors. The bedroom and bathroom are upstairs. There is a kingsize bed and a sofa bed available. We do provide extra laundry for the sofa bed at a cost of £15. Please let me know if you require the sofa bed making up. To access the bedroom are external stairs. Downstairs is a great open plan living space. There is private parking. Ross town is a mile away. PLEASE NOTE: the Annexe is next to a busy main road and traffic can be heard from the Annexe.

The Old Shop is an ideal base for those wanting to walk, mountain bike, climb, take part in water sports on the River Wye or just relax and explore this beautiful area. Coleford town is close by and there is a lovely local pub in walking distance.

Walking distance to Monmouth town centre, with all local amenities, and the Royal Oak pub a 5 minute walk away. It is located in the small hamlet of Hom Green, 2 miles from Ross-On-Wye which is in the heart of the picturesque Wye Valley. The 136 mile Wye Valley walk passes within a mile of the property which is ideal for you and your dog to explore the hills, limestone gorges and viewpoints.
