The Acorn is on the southern side of Bishops Stortford, roughly 15 minute walk from town centre. There is a river behind you can stroll along, outdoor space, and the room is light and airy. Private gated parking for one vehicle. The place is secluded good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and one well-behaved furry friend (pet). (Please note that the hosts live 15 mins away & not next door). With transport links nearby (bus, train, Stansted airport), the adventure starts here!

Nestled in open countryside next to our vineyard on the outskirts of Bishop's Stortford, an ideal base to explore East Herts & North Essex or visit London & Cambridge. The Cowshed is a recently converted barn sleeping 5, complete with fully equipped kitchen, dining area and comfy seating around a woodburner. The annexe is decorated to a high standard. it contains a kitchenette and shower room The bed room has a double bed, cable TV and internet, it also has a small table and chairs enough to eat or use as a workspace The annex very near the station about a 2 minute walk. with really good link to London, Stanstead or Cambridge. There are also local High St with small supermarket, restaurants and takeaways. We are also within walking distance of Superstores and a cinema.

There are numerous country walks just a few steps from the lodge, one of which leads to the River Stort (15min walk) from where you can carry on exploring miles of river walkways.

The Barn, beautiful rural retreat

The Barn is located within the grounds of our Grade 2 listed Cottage and yet is far enough away from the main house to allow our guests privacy. The property offers two luxurious double bedrooms and a modern bathroom with shower and bath. The light and spacious living / kitchen area is fully equipped with all appliances including a dishwasher and provides comfortable seating for all our guests. Guests will receive a welcome pack of goodies on arrival.

Outside, the barn has a large garden with a herb patio with BBQ and seating.
