The Willard Mill House - A Forest & River Getaway

We're nestled on the edge of Gifford Pinchot National Forest and just a stone's throw from the Little White Salmon River. Close enough to town (16 min to the Hood River bridge), but far enough away to relax and unwind. The home is updated with modern amenities and conveniences but stays true to its historic details and architecture. We're thrilled to set you up with a wonderful and relaxing stay!

Little House on the Hill - Gorge Getaway Home Base

This little house started life as a woodworking shop. When we outgrew it, we made it into a guest house. It may be imperfect, but it's perfectly adorable. We have a peek of Mt. Hood from the yard and lovely territorial views. At night, you can enjoy the beauty of a Milky Way sky far from city light pollution. Come. Enjoy. Relax. We designed and built our White Salmon Retreat to be a family-friendly, pet-friendly ($20/pet) and therapeutic space set in the trees where your soul can find rest and relaxation. Our Retreat is surrounded by mature Fir, Oak, and Maple trees and frequented by the local wildlife. We are excited to share this space with you. Fully stocked kitchen! We use scent-free laundry soap and cleaning supplies. Washer/Dryer. Deck with fire pit table and gas grill. Nectar mattress is SO COMFORTABLE!

The White Salmon River house is a beautiful paradise on the Wild and Scenic White Salmon River. The home is located on over 6 acres of private, mature forest along the river, just 15 minutes from White Salmon, WA. This secluded retreat is the perfect base for your rafting or Columbia River Gorge adventures. We both worked and met at the nearby rafting company, Wet Planet Whitewater. It’s located 25 mins away from the unique town of Hood River where there are endless activities. Everything from restaurants, breweries, hiking, kite boarding, Windsurfing, fishing, kayaking and more. It’s the perfect spot to get away from city life, but an easy drive if you want to enjoy what the surrounding towns have to offer!

Secluded White Salmon River Cabin

A small, cozy cabin perched above the White Salmon River, just minutes from town. Enjoy the expansive 180 degree views from your private little forest oasis or take advantage of the central location to explore all The Gorge has to offer. We've recently renovated this private retreat to keep our visiting friends and family comfortable. Cabin 43 on the White Salmon River

Cabin 43 is a new home we built ourselves located right on the wild and scenic White Salmon river. We finished this project (June, 2020) and are excited to share this beautiful place with guests. It features a King bed in 1 room and 2 twin beds in the 2nd bedroom which can be pushed together to make a 2nd king bed. We live in a cluster of 8 other cabins down gravel road in a very serene forest setting with a large field out front and private river side walking trails.

Elsie's View: Cozy Vintage/Modern Cabin

Our 1920s cabin is nestled in the woods along the White Salmon River. 4 people max and be sure to read details about sleeping arrangements. We are best for 1 or 2 adult couples (one queen and one full bed are upstairs in each bedroom, and one full size couch is downstairs). A couple with 1-2 kids can easily work too. What doesn’t work are 4 adults who need to sleep separately - that means doubling up in one of the beds. Well-behaved dogs okay with advance notice.
