Destination Leisure – Cottage A

Destination Leisure – Your Up North Basecamp welcomes you to Cottage A, next to Mitchell State Park in Cadillac. With 2 bedrooms and modern amenities, it’s ideal for both relaxation and adventure. Need more space? See Destination Leisure – Cottage B next door. In warmer months, enjoy biking, hiking, golfing, or lake outings. In winter, head to Caberfae Peaks or Crystal Mountain for skiing, or explore nearby snowmobile trails. Cottage A is a peaceful Up North getaway for year-round adventures.

Manistee River Retreat

The Manistee River Retreat is a home located on a bluff overlooking the Manistee River. It is on a private drive. The large deck has a grille, dining table and a table and chairs by the fire pit. The deck overlooks the river valley. From the kitchen door wall is the screen porch that has a dining set for four. Inside the remodeled home is a spacious eat in kitchen and living room, two bedrooms, full bath and a mud room. Like our other Airbnb "Manistee River Cabin" it is sparkling clean.

Base Camp is centrally located for all your "up north" adventures! 1.5 miles from trail head for snowmobiles & ORVs 13 miles to Caberfae Peaks Ski & Golf 9 miles to Lake Cadillac & Lake Mitchell for boating/fishing 28 miles to Crystal Mountain Great driving distance for day trips to Traverse City, Ludington, Sleeping Bear Dunes, Silver Lake Dunes & more! This Chalet Cabin A-frame in the woods features 3 bedrooms and comforts for four season stay. The kitchen has open concept to spacious living room with natural fire place. Two full baths, first floor laundry, outdoor deck and firepit. Ride directly to snowmobile trails, 25-30 min ski at Caberfae & Crystal Mountain, mountain biking, road cycling to Traverse City. Hiking, canoeing/kayaking and ATV/UTV. Hunting season is underway, check Michigan websites for authorized surrounding areas.

"Base Camp" Chalet

Come stay in charming Harrietta, a quiet village in the hills nestled in the heart of the Manistee National Forest. This recently renovated A-frame chalet is part of an old US Forest Service fire station complex that dates back to the Civilian Conservation Corps. Adventures await at this "base camp" to four seasons of fun, including hundreds of miles of motorized and non-motorized trails, skiing, fishing, paddling and foraging. Caberfae Peaks Ski Resort is five minutes away.

Beautiful Cabin in the Forest

All season beautiful and peaceful completely renovated cabin is close to hiking, biking, fishing, off road and snow mobile trails, downhill and cross-country skiing. Located close to Cadillac and Traverse City this cozy cabin comfortably sleeps up to 6 people. A private patio and firepit (fully stocked with wood) is off the back of the cabin. A nature lover's delight, guests will find it difficult to leave this peaceful and relaxing cabin and setting on 77 acres.

The Smiling Moose Lodge is perfect for your next family getaway. The house sleeps 16 in beds and has plenty of space for the whole family and then some. Centrally located between Traverse City, Crystal Mountain Ski and Golf Resort, the City of Cadillac, and Caberfae Peaks ski resort. The ORV trail for snowmobiling starts at the end of the driveway and the Manistee River is 3 minutes away where you can enjoy all of nature by canoe, kayak (4 provided) or boat.
