Castle Yard House overlooks Knaresborough Castle and is situated a short distance off the historic market square in the town centre. Standing on the edge of the old moat, overlooking the fortified bastions to the Castle, the house is in an iconic location. Castle Yard House has been fully refurbished and sleeps 5/6 in it's three bedrooms. There is a modern kitchen, bathroom and open plan living and dining room. The living and dining area has a wood burner and gives fantastic views of the Castle.

This 19C Farm labourers cottage is now a stylishly furnished and comfortable home, perfect for couples and a pet. Downstairs is a comfortable sofa and arm chair for lounging in front of the TV and fire. There is a well equipped galley kitchen. Upstairs is the bathroom with shower over bath. Also the bedroom which has a Kingsize) 5ft wide) bed with feather duvet and pillows and crisp White Company sheets. A warm welcome to Alice's cottage which is part of Priory Holiday Cottages, self-catering holiday cottage. Built on the historical site of Syningthwaite the cottages are named as such because of their close proximity to the Syningthwaite Priory. Each cottage is named after a Prioress that ruled the Priory during its life time. Alice's cottage is a spacious cottage which has its own private garden and BBQ. A hot tub can be added to the booking for £75 per stay.

For those wanting to visit York, the Park and Ride at Askham Bar is 10 minutes away and a better option than parking in York. The Gables is not wheelchair friendly.
