The Hut in the Wild

Come and stay in our beautifully finished, tin shepherds hut at the bottom of our garden. We are located in the rolling countryside with extensive views over the vale of York. After a day of exploring this AONB, there’s nothing like cooking tea over the fire pit or wood pellet pizza oven followed by a dip under the stars in our rustic hot tub. Grooms Cottage by Sheriff Hutton Castle, Near York

Grooms Cottage is on a private estate right next to the ruins of Sheriff Hutton Castle. The property is in a peaceful setting but only two minutes walk away from the village pub and post office/general store. Our cottage was completely renovated in 2021 and is in a great location for walkers, cyclists, and explorers. It’s about 10 miles from both York and Malton, Castle Howard is under 6 miles away, and the coast can be reached in under an hour. Grooms Cottage sleeps 4 guests+2 babies +dogs

We're ideally situated just off the popular cycle routes and activity centres. Hillfoot Cottage is a cosy and comfortable 350 yr old cottage which began life as a pig sty in the quiet country village of Yearby, near Redcar. Offering peace and tranquility with local walks on your doorstep. Located a short drive to the seaside town of Redcar and Market town of Guisborough, within 1/2 hours drive to the North York Moors National Park and Whitby and within 1 hours drive to the Yorkshire Dales. An abundance of wild birds are to be found in the gardens of our cottage.

Hope Cottage. Whixley.

Hope Cottage is in a peaceful village in the perfect location to visit the many attractions North Yorkshire has to offer . Parking is available outside the cottage, and the train station is a mile away. Whixley has an excellent local pub The Anchor Inn , other local eating establishments are within easy driving distance. Generous discounts are on offer for long term let’s (28day or more .) Please note that charging points are not available to charge electric cars .

Nestled in the heart of the North Yorkshire Moors on our 100 acre Jacob Sheep Farm, close to the villages of Danby (3.9 miles) and (Castleton 3.7 miles) We are nothing like a hotel but instead offer quirky, comfortable, open plan, home from home accommodation in a tranquil setting. Arriving on foot, it is fully equipped with everything you might need. Close to Danby Castle wedding venue. We welcome all family pets and have plenty of fields for off lead exercise.
