Enjoy the French artwork and boardgames before having dinner at the French bistro downtown, just a few blocks away, or take a walk along Roanoke River, just one block, and scan the other side for the area’s famous black bears. Public dock access so bring your boat and spend time fishing, or wake up early and make the short 90 minute drive to the outer banks. We have a ping-pong table and other games, as well as a diverse selection of books available. Something for everyone!

This house is located with a 4,000 foot grass runway and aircraft tie-downs to secure your aircraft during your stay. There are 3 bedrooms downstairs with 2 full bathrooms, and there is 2 bedrooms upstairs with full bathroom. There are many things to do around such as going to the Mattamuskeet National Wildlife Refuge or catch the ferry from Swan Quarter and take a trip to Ocracoke!

Mackey's Ferry Inn

Great Southern Charm- fully stocked with all your items needed for a stay. The house is great for families day tripping to the Outer Banks. Or stay local and take a boat trip out into the Albemarle Sound. We are just minutes from Mackey's Marina. We can host your wedding, wedding party, and/or rehearsal dinner. The Trestle House is named after the railroad trestles that serve as the beams in the ceilings of the first floor and basement. The stone fireplaces and original wooden floors all combine to give the house its beautiful, unique character.
