Off Grid Converted Sugar Shack

This little rustic OFF GRID converted sugar shack is perfect for a quiet getaway. There are 2 solar panels that feed the lighting and water pump; limited, non-drinking water for the 2 sinks (summer only); and compostable toilet. There is no shower, no oven and no fridge. A cooler, an urn of drinking water and firewood are provided. The shack is on our 35 acre property, with our home 500ft down the lane. You will have access to our property to walk through the maple forest and wildflower meadow.

Beautiful farm setting in Lanark

40 minutes west of Kanata, ON in Lanark Highlands, 20 kms west of Almonte. The Gate House is a renovated 150 year old log building with 2 single beds, in floor heating, bathroom with shower & kitchenette with hot plate, toaster oven, coffee maker, small fridge & microwave, dining & sitting area. The Perched cabin is one of our three cabins. We also have the Apple Tree and the Poplar cabin. This is glamping at its best. Window walls letting light into every side. A sleeping loft. Built with logs. Well equipped for cooking. Heated with woodstove - firewood included. In the middle of the forest. A lot of trails to enjoy. No neighbours. The perfect spot to unwind. Fisherman and snowmobilers welcomed. No electricity or running water. We repeat, no electricity or running water! No shower, however a rustic outhouse is available - you are fancy camping. Water jugs and firewood for the wood stove and bon fire are provided.
