Charming Garden Apartment

Welcome. My place is a quiet and secluded retreat, an easy ten minute drive from the centre of the city. Situated in a tree filled suburb at the beginning of the magnificent Otago Peninsula area. The annex is private from the main part of the house with its own entrance and suits one or two people. The garden is a work in progress, depending on the season, with a sheltered, sunny courtyard for your use. There is a small outlook over the harbour water, giving you a glimpse of the city and hills.

There is lots to do nearby such as the Country Market or the Orokunui Sanctuary. If you want to take a short drive there are amazing beaches with penguins, seals, sea lions, albatrosses and much more. Use us as a base and explore the museums, galleries and other wonderful heritage sights of Dunedin.

The road & driveway is gravel. 5 min drive to Waitati where you will find Harvey Street Merchant for organic produce & NZ made products, Blueskin Nursery has a fabulous Cafe, Blueskin Gallery for lunch & dinner & a little further north you will find the exceptional ARC Brewery open Friday/Saturday/Sunday with food trucks. Close to Drs Point & Warrington Beaches & bay for swimming & relaxing.

Glamis Cottage

Tucked away in beautiful Kōpūtai - Port Chalmers, Dunedin, is my historic 1882 one bedroom fully furnished apartment, a cosy retreat with all day sun! Relax on the veranda or visit interesting shops, bars, cafes and restaurants, and the supermarket, just a 10 minute walk away with the stadium being a ten minute drive. The surf beaches are a short drive away in all directions. Closer to the door step are walking tracks and fishing spots. Maybe bike Te Aka Ōtakākou our shared pathway.

Stay with us in beautiful Deborah Bay on our 7 acres lifestyle block.We are 64 meters up on the hill, the view is very nice. Our sleepout is a small but new, warm, well insulated 1 bedroom unit. We have the biggest, most comfortable bed ever. We offer a super king size mattress with freshly washed linen, dried by the southern wind. No kitchen, only a microwave, toaster and a fridge. Great quality bikes are available for rent. Only 18mins from Dunedin and 3 mins from caffees and shops.

The Lookout

The Lookout is a luxurious self contained small house with wonderful harbour views and a rural back drop. Only 18 mins from Dunedin and 2 mins from Port Chalmers cafes, restaurants, shops and pubs. The Lookout has an open living space including the kitchen. A compact bathroom and mezzanine bedroom with breathtaking views. The Lookout, is next door to "Sybie's Cottage" another AirBnB listing by Allan. Each is very private and the car-park area is the only thing which is shared.

The perfect place to stay while travelling the stunning South Island coast. Fresh milk, butter, bread, jams, etc provided plus extra goodies for longer stays!

Lovely Historic School, Karitane

Our unique stand alone studio is a small, historic, renovated school about 30km north of Dunedin and close to the village of Karitane. The school has everything you need for a warm, comfortable stay. There books and games for your use. We live in a repurposed sheep shearing shed nearby and both buildings are surrounded by extensive gardens and plantings. There are panoramic views of the very picturesque coast line and out to sea. It is very peaceful and private.

Gorgeous Cottage - town and country

The cottage is on the west harbour 15 minute drive from Dunedin. Short drives take you to unspoilt beaches and scenic reserves. Three minutes drive takes you to historical and quirky Port Chalmers with its many pubs, cafes and galleries. Less than a kilometer away from the cottage is the start of a track through native bush to the top of Mount Cargill with panoramic views of the Otago Harbour. The newly renovated cottage is warm, sunny, cosy and comfortable.

When you want to get away from it all and relax, "Number 22" provides an excellent base within 15 mins of the City of Dunedin, with a rural outlook and plenty of birdsong, thanks to Orokonui Ecosanctuary. Past guests have come to explore the area, to hang out for a weekend with a friend, to write some more of their novel/thesis, to be out of town when visiting Dunedin for hospital/events, and to job hunt from an unstressed base! Merton Park farmstay

We are a small self sufficient farm with friendly goats, donkeys, alpacas and cattle. We have free range chickens in the orchard and ducks on the pond. We grow much of our own fruit and vegetables. We have 87 acres of hillside you are welcome to explore. Right on the main road, but peaceful and private, we are only 30 minutes' drive from Dunedin city centre, and 10 minutes from delightful beaches, friendly villages, and a bird sanctuary.
