'The Cottage'

‘The Cottage’, is a cosy, self-contained cottage situated in the lovely Kaitoke countryside, a 40 minute drive from Wellington; 20 from the Wairarapa and 10 from Upper Hutt. 'The Cottage', is also the perfect location for access to the Rimutaka Incline Trail and Aston Norwood Gardens & Cafe. It is a modern two-bedroomed cottage, which could accommodate up to four guests. From the lounge, you can enjoy watching the animals play in the paddock below or the birds fluttering around in the trees.

Five minutes walk to beach and Queen Elizabeth Park, a wonderful forest and dune environment great for walks, biking, picnics. Lively village centre 1.5 kms away, with a well stocked local shop, a fruit and veg shop, 3 cafes and a family friendly pub, railway station, regular music gigs and starting point for the famous Escarpment walk. It is an easy train or drive to Wellington.

Remutaka Retreat - Orchard House

Orchard House is a private, tranquil retreat, set amongst the fruit trees on our property. 8 kms north of Upper Hutt. 1 km to Remutaka Cycle Trail and Pakuratahi Mountain Bike Trails. 3 kms to Te Marua Golf Course and Wellington Speedway. Built as a mobile Tiny House, now with the addition of a double bedroom, a conservatory/living room. This is a great base for outdoor activities or a quiet few days away. Close to to Upper Hutt and amenities, including the wonderful Brewtown.

Prairie Holm Rustic Cabins
