Turangi is an adventurer's paradise year round and many complete the Tongarario Alpine Crossing as it’s about the closest accommodation you will find.

Tui Cabin

This container home is set in a private spot surrounded by native bush with a view of the mountain through the trees. The interior of the cabin consists of a separate bedroom with a queen size bed, a fully equipped kitchen, lounge and wood burner. The container has a cosy ambience with lots of light on a sunlit day. Large ranchsliders connect you to the natural world outside for hiking, kayaking, canoeing, skiing or mountain exploring. Walk across the road to dine or relax and cook at home.

Tastefully renovated fully equipt house and new sleepout. Fully insulated with double glazed windows. Large bathroom, gas hot water and large kitchen/dining/family room opening onto a large deck for alfresco living. Please note this is an unserviced holiday home. You will Need to supply your own linen and towels etc. Our wonderful bach full of character, is an old mill house which belonged to the local timber mill from the 1940-50s. It then spent several years as the Tauranga ski club, before being lovingly restored into a groovy bach full of rustic charm. It's the perfect place to getaway and relax, or to use as a base after your high octane adventures around the Central Plateau.

Cosy in the Centre of Ohakune

This one bedroom apartment is on the ground floor of our family home (we live on the 2nd and 3rd floors). It is in the middle of Ohakune, halfway between Turoa Junction and Ohakune centre. They're a walks close by, Turoa is 20 minutes drive away and we have a list of walks that are nearby and suit a range of people. Parking is right in front of the apartment as per the photos in the listing. Our house manual also has a list of the best spots in Ohakune to check out.

On a clear day you have wonderful views of Mts Ruapehu and Ngaruahoe, and a glimpse of Tongariro. The cabin and surrounds are exclusively yours to enjoy as there are no close neighbours.

Private and quiet, set in lovely gardens, 5 minute walk to lake, parking on site, a 6 minute drive to town and all Taupo has to offer! Flat is cool in summer and warm in winter with gas heater. There is an air fryer and microwave available for cooking, and the flat has an ironing board, iron and hair blow drier.
