Our country cottage has been completely renovated into a beautiful and stylish home. It is situated in an idyllic setting overlooking a stream in the North Yorkshire countryside, 4 miles from the small market town of Malton. This is an extremely peaceful place, entirely surrounded by fields. The cottage is semi-detached with a quiet neighbour. The cottage accommodates 4 adults, a child and a baby, in 3 upstairs bedrooms: 1 (king) double, 1 with two singles, 1 with smaller bed and travel cot.

Grooms Cottage by Sheriff Hutton Castle, Near York

Grooms Cottage is on a private estate right next to the ruins of Sheriff Hutton Castle. The property is in a peaceful setting but only two minutes walk away from the village pub and post office/general store. Our cottage was completely renovated in 2021 and is in a great location for walkers, cyclists, and explorers. It’s about 10 miles from both York and Malton, Castle Howard is under 6 miles away, and the coast can be reached in under an hour. Grooms Cottage sleeps 4 guests+2 babies +dogs

Unwind in our stunning 18th century, 1 bed barn conversion with beamed ceilings and open plan living space. Outside there is a south facing secure court yard with your own private access. Situated in a tranquil village within an area of outstanding natural beauty. The village boasts a fine dining pub with other local pubs within a short distance or even visit Malton the food capital. A perfect base for biking , walking or visiting Castle Howard, the North Yorkshire moors , East coast or York.

The Garden Room

Two renovated old buildings have been converted into a quiet, one bedroom, self contained Garden room. In the centre of Slingsby village, you are well placed to explore the beautiful surrounding areas of Yorkshire. A modern kitchen with fridge, microwave and cooker is equipped for preparing delicious meals. A wall mounted television with Netflix is available. The sleeping area hosts a double bed with wall hanging for clothes, adjacent to which is a bright shower room with heated towel rail.

Located 20 mind north of York by car, 30 to the Moors. 1 hour to Whitby or the Dales. Relax on your south facing balcony with a 180° view, gaze up at a starry night or across to the ruins, after visiting York, nearby Castle Howard or walking/biking in the Howardian Hills AONB. Parking, self-contained, self-check. Less than 1 hour from the beach.

Located in the stunning Howardian Hills, this is a peaceful and romantic location. A perfect all year round escape. You park your car and the hut is a 5 minute walk from our house- make sure you pack suitable footwear. We can transport your luggage to the hut. The hut has cooking facilities (oven and a hob), there is also a fire pit for barbecues and a picnic table for outdoor dining. You have exclusive use of a hot tub which is right next to the hut.

Tarrs Yard is a beautifully restored early 18th century cottage, nestled in the valley between York and Malton. Ideal for walkers and nature lovers, the cottage is just a short drive from Castle Howard and close to the North Yorkshire Moors, Dalby Forest and the Yorkshire Coast. A Large comfortable cottage on the outskirts of the lovely Haxby village approximately 5 miles from York Centre . With 3 bedrooms (one of which is downstairs) and 3 full bathrooms it is a spacious home which is ideal for a family get together or for friends meeting up. The dining kitchen is fully equipped so you can cook and eat at home if you wish. The pool table is always a great hit with our guests and many a pool tournament has been played.
