Cozy Country Cottage

Come stay in our ​cozy cottage located down a country lane. Part of the Ponder farm dating back to 1906, we have a little house that offers a peaceful environment overlooking the family farm with a picturesque old barn, surrounded by tree lined fields. Enjoy the updated home with fully furnished kitchen, queen bed, and open front and back porches for relaxing in the quiet countryside. We are located just south of Sherman off Hwy 11, close to Austin College, with easy access to Highway 75.

Horse country stay near multiple trailheads

This apartment has one queen bed and also a queen air mattress if needed. A full bath with shower, and kitchen. This is on a working horse/cow ranch and we do have stalls for boarding. We have dogs, chickens, peacocks, horses, and cows. Enjoy the view of our peacocks outside the patio door for a unique experience. Private entrance with keypad entry. Near Lake Ray Roberts, LBJ Grasslands, and Trophy Club trailheads and several others. There will be farm noise, but typically very peaceful.

The Vineyard Loft

The Vineyard Loft offers all the comforts of home. The studio style apartment has a kitchenet, open living area, and separate entrance. Take a walk in the country, pick some blackberries, enjoy wine tasting at a local vineyard, or shopping and restaurants in Celina located just minutes away (see Guide Book). The Vineyard Loft is one of two Airbnb Venues located on the 3-acre Blackberry Patch property. Check out our other venue (Blackberry Cottage). Book both venues for a larger group.

Creekside Treehouse, open tonight

Beautiful, climate-controlled & fully furnished Treehouse! You will stay in a luxury treehouse with a full bath located on the creek on a 300-acre working farm. You will enjoy the flowing creek while sitting on the deck up in the trees. We also offer UTV rentals with 100 acres of forest trails to explore including scavenger hunts, picnic tables, and swings. The open concept main floor and the four bedrooms can easily accommodate families or several couples.

Please keep in mind that we are in the country and live on a dirt road. We have a horse and chickens that will be happy to greet you on your arrival. *As the pictures indicate, the Airbnb is behind the main home. We do live on the property but will have 100% privacy.
