Welcome to Kiwiana Kampover you will be staying in a 1975 refurbished caravan with a detached private bathroom and private deck. We are situated 6 km from Westport township on a lifestyle block nestled between the mountains and the sea. We have a private hot tub adjacent to the caravan which is available for guests staying 2 or more nights. It is oil fired so takes some time to heat and would also depend on my husband being at home to organize it. Ask about the bush walk also on the property.

Set in the heart of Lake Hawea, in a secluded spot behind a cottage, with mountain views. 1 min walk to the cafe/Supermarket, 3 to the pub, and 5 to the lake. Easy access to lakefront+riverside walking/bike paths, as well as hill walking nearby. Relax and dine outside on your own terrace, with gas BBQ and evening lights. Our custom made shepherd's hut has all the amenities required for a comfortable nights stay along with a COMPLIMENTARY continental breakfast and extra treats also 12.00 checkout. We are the gateway to the Mackenzie Country with a 25 minute drive to Lake Tekapo featuring hot pools, scenic flights, Church of the Good Shepherd, 3 local ski fields and our famous night sky reserve. Mount Cook is a 1 1/2 hour scenic trip.

Super chill little Retro Hut, so cute! Independent, self sufficient, private. Double Bed (snug) above the cab and a single bed downstairs. Spring water plumbed in and mains power and heater. Pots and pans etc and board games to play. Super funky toilet block and spacious shower room just a short walk away on lush lawns. Gorgeous rural outlook. Ocean 1min drive away. Akaroa 20mins. No WiFi but excellent coverage on Spark network, average on Vodafone.

Retro Glamping and a View

On a quiet small lifestile block the recently restored caravan is facing northeast with a view to mountains and sea. Collingwood and the beach is only 1 min away. Wharariki Beach and Farewell Spit about15 min. A small fully equiped kitchen, a seperate bedroom and spacious seating area awaits you inside. Your private Bathroom and Toilet is about 20m away in the main house. You can enjoy the peaceful setting in a way like camping used to be 40 years ago.

Henrietta's Hut

Henrietta's Hut is a delightfully whimsical, traditional styled Shepherds Hut, named after a previous owner of our Heritage Property where the wagon now resides. Henrietta, once lived at this very address and grew lavender and flowers in the garden to make soaps and lotions. Conveniently located between Queenstown & Arrowtown, this is the perfect base to retreat back too after exploring everything the adventure capital of the world has on offer.
