The Treehouse: Off-grid Retreat

Shaded in a canopy of macrocarpa trees at the base of Mt Taranaki national park, The Treehouse is a grown-up childhood sanctuary. Built from recycled materials, a repurposed spiral staircase takes you up the multiple levels of The Treehouse to a secluded living space nestled between the trees. Kick back in the canopy, swoop on the swings or shoot down the slide. This self-contained treehouse is powered by renewable energy and is only a short drive to New Plymouth, local beaches and the mountain.

Fully renovated in 2020 Cook a delicious meal in the well equipped kitchen, then dine on your choice of decks to soak up the rural or sea views. Just a 7 minute walk to the popular Castlecliff beach for a swim or take a stroll along the black sandy beach, call into the Citadel for a meal or drink on the way home. Ohakune is an hours drive to enjoy the great walks or skiing. 4 square and laundromat close by

Welcome to The Stay on Egmont. Nestled in the quiet Egmont Village at the base of our Maunga, the road to the mountain is straight out the gate. The cottage is a quiet retreat 10 mins from New Plymouth city. Wake up to the call of Tui and the sound of a stream running outside. Only a 10 minute drive into New Plymouth and beaches, 5 mins to the Egmont National Park. The Village hosts a cafe, petrol station, large mountain bike park, NZ's largest Holden Museum with luge and mini golf.

Welcome to “The Burnt House" as it was nick named after a fire in the top floor 5 years ago. We spent 2 years restoring this multi level home. You will find this house a real treetop treat - no other houses in sight, but still within 5 minutes drive of the CBD. The house is nestled in a Significant Natural Area - meaning its natural bush (and bird) views all round. Settle in the hot tub and enjoy the bird life. We love sharing this space with you as we believe it's something special.

Located on the back section of our property, this private tiny home is only a 5min drive to scenic beaches, coastal walkway and restaurants and cafes of central New Plymouth.

Orchard Cottage is a lovely relaxing place for a family/ couple or someone in Taranaki for work to stay. It has 2 living areas, 2 bedrooms, a bathroom and fully equipped kitchen. There is a queen bed, double bed and double fold out in the the second living area. Plus a small laundry area. The cottage has a nice covered outdoor eating area and BBQ with a lovely rural outlook. It is located on our property with good parking and fully fenced.

Egmont Village Beauty

Enjoy a peaceful and rural setting in Egmont Village with stunning views of Mt Taranaki. We are two minutes from Lake Mangamahoe Walking track and Mountain Bike park, you can be in New Plymouth in ten minutes and be up North Egmont in 15 minutes. Our beautiful cottage is perfect for a couples or small families. Enjoy an amazing view of Mt Taranaki out of the bedroom windows. We provide towels, face cloths and all bed linen.
