The Treehouse: Off-grid Retreat

Shaded in a canopy of macrocarpa trees at the base of Mt Taranaki national park, The Treehouse is a grown-up childhood sanctuary. Built from recycled materials, a repurposed spiral staircase takes you up the multiple levels of The Treehouse to a secluded living space nestled between the trees. Kick back in the canopy, swoop on the swings or shoot down the slide. This self-contained treehouse is powered by renewable energy and is only a short drive to New Plymouth, local beaches and the mountain.

The Shelter

With wooden interior and carpeted floors with free standing fireplace, our accomodation is both spacious yet cosy. The master bedroom has a cabin feel to it with a comfy bed and views out onto farmland. The Loft is a spacious cosy area with low ceilings which the teenagers will love but tall people may not enjoy it as it's only about 1.75 cm at the highest point . large couches for watching netflix or relaxing on the deck. we are not set up for young children and think it's best suited to 8+ age

River Belle Glamping

River Belle is set on a working farm only 10 minutes away from the city of New Plymouth. A secluded Glamping site set on 160 acres next to Mangaoraka river. A geodesic dome luxuriously fitted out, is accompanied by a amenities hut, providing a charming kitchen and separate bathroom. The hut has an outdoor bath with view of Mt Taranaki. River Belle Glamping offers truly unique and romantic couples get away. *Please note we use a composting toilet system and we can not host children or pets*

Taranaki Beach House - Great Sea Views

Panoramic views of sea, 1 min walk to the beach, surf, kayak, hike Mt Taranaki or bike the Coastal Walkway. 3 min to playground. Master Bedroom with ensuite upstairs. Well equipped kitchen with gas hob, oven, microwave, TV, Netflix and free wifi. 15-20 mins from New Plymouth. 10 minutes from Airport. 40 mins from White Cliffs Walk, 15 mins to Pukekura Park Festival of the Lights. 35mins to Mt Taranaki. Some book for 1 guest and show up with 6. So we check our door camera. Please be honest.

Mill House - Villa on Forgotten World Highway

This lovely villa was built in the early 1900’s by the McCluggage Family, who operated sawmills in the area. Their endeavors included the construction of a tunnel, in 1924, at the rear of the property to provide access to timber on the Whangamomona Saddle where it still remains today. Mill House is a fully furnished, four bedroom/one bathroom home that comfortably sleeps eight. Whether you are travelling through or looking to getaway, Mill House can provide you with tranquility and relaxation.

Surf Highway Coast House

Set in the midst of Taranaki's surf snow and fishing area.This sea front location (rocky foreshore) is the closest you will get to wake up to secluded surf, fishing or tramping or take a 5 min trip to world renowned locations. You’ll love my place because it is a brand new purpose built holiday beach pad. Views of Mount Taranaki out one side and the ocean on the other side in a secluded rural setting . You will find this house a real treetop treat - no other houses in sight, but still within 5 minutes drive of the CBD. The house is nestled in a Significant Natural Area - meaning its natural bush (and bird) views all round. Settle in the hot tub and enjoy the bird life. We love sharing this space with you as we believe it's something special.
