Push open the sliding glass wall to link the villa’s outdoor living areas with an indoor great room featuring space for sitting and dining. The high ceiling nods to traditional Thai architecture, while pale wood paneling is stylish and welcoming. While chef service is part of your stay, there’s also a separate kitchen with a gas stove, oven and more. Villa Wayu has five bedrooms with double beds and two bedrooms with two twin beds each; all seven have private en-suite bathrooms. Many of the bedrooms also have honeymoon-suite-worthy features such as al-fresco showers and jetted tubs. Larger parties or families traveling with children may want to use an additional bedroom that has three bunk beds plus a twin bed. From the villa’s location on Maenam Beach, it’s a 5-minute drive to the tennis courts and golf course at the Santiburi Resort, as well as the nearest restaurants and grocery store.
