Walking to hiking trails, a 2 minute drive to FH downtown, 10 minutes to Scottsdale, or 35 minutes to Sky Harbor.

Shekinah Hermitage: Peace at the Forest’s Edge

Shekinah Hermitage is at 8000ft. overlooking the Cibola N. F. This unique cabin looks into a canyon to the north, and eastward over the San Agustin Plains. Surrounded by juniper and pinion trees, it is very remote. Windows all around give the feel of being outdoors but the solid structure is immovable in high winds. Inside is all you need including limited solar-battery 120V electricity. There is an attached bathroom with a sawdust composting toilet. Outside a high deck offers stunning views.

Nestled at the foot of stunning Red Butte, Thunderbird Suite is southwestern decor with antique furniture. Just outside the glass doors, is a desert landscape of Saguaros & other Sonoran natural desert cactus & trees. Thunderbird is an independent, private suite added onto the main house, with a wall separating it. There is laundry available just next to the private bath with shower & tub. Welcome to Shangri-La! A unique, private, and magical setting right in the middle of Cloudcroft. Almost half a fenced acre where you can wander the grounds, enjoy the fire pit, read in the cozy separate office, or grill on the barbecue.
