Enjoy a comfortable living area, flat-screen TV, and dining space. Located on Old Leigh High Street with direct access to our Boatyard Restaurant and events, waterside deck, with arguably the best views of the Thames Estuary. Also available is our Galley Coffee Shop, and Street Food.

Situated in a charming village, just a short drive from Layer Marney Tower, Colchester Zoo and a wildlife nature reserve which is popular with bird watchers, The Hare & Hounds is a beautiful country pub & restaurant serving local real ales, fine wines with a freshly homecooked menu. Log burners in the winter and gardens in the summer. Two modern double rooms with ensuites which are separate to the main building and free parking on site. Friendly dogs are welcome.

The property is very highly specified in rolling countryside but only 1.5 miles from a major town and within easy reach of some great little villages. A small child can also be accommodated in the rooms with a travel cot and bedding provided or larger child for a little extra in our blue, family room
