Shop and pub in the village, and although the hut is set on a working farm, there’s plenty of peace and quiet and privacy at our cozy hut.

A self contained secluded luxury Shepherds Hut sleeps two near the Brecon Beacons national park with delightful valley views. Situated on a small working farm eight miles from Junction 49 at the western end of the M4. Enjoy the seclusion of the farm and walking opportunities in the area as well as the local attractions in East Carmarthenshire of castles, stately homes, gardens, local villages and towns. Further afield are the beaches and beauty spots of Swansea, the Gower and Pembrokeshire.

Step aboard The Toad, a beautifully restored 1921 GWR brake van (AKA Toad Wagon), once a vital part of post-war goods trains. Hickin’s Hut offers our guests a secluded and tranquil location, set within a 43 acre smallholding located only 3 miles from Cardigan. Sited within its own meadow, on the edge of a small wood adjacent to a lake where you will see much wildlife. The hut has a double bed and an en suite shower room/toilet with a power shower. It also enjoys glorious views of the surrounding Welsh countryside and Preseli Hills from the south facing decking with a private tub and firepit. Pets also welcome.

The hut comes with a separate private composting toilet and hot shower block.
