Secluded River Thames Lodge with Spectacular Views

Herons is totally unique, a beautiful detached lodge situated on the banks of the River Thames. Beautiful interiors and the views are simply wonderful from sunrise to sunset. Herons is the perfect place to unwind and relax, just sit and watch the wildlife and the boats milling along the river. Nearby are the Thames Market towns of Wallingford, Henley and Abingdon and the beautiful surrounding countryside.The historic city of Oxford is only 8 miles away and Bicester Village is a 30 minute drive.

Period cottage, cosy sittingroom individual host

Self contained part of charming thatched cottage in this attractive South Oxfordshire village, between Didcot (2.5 miles) and Wallingford (3.5 miles). The accommodation has its own entrance, sitting room - with inglenook fireplace (only use electric fire provided) - and steep, winding stairs leading to the large bedroom with vaulted ceiling and superking bed. Guests will have sole use of the adjoining bathroom. Period features also include low beams, but rule out a shower. Not for children.

Castle Loft, Central Wallingford

Wallingford was once home to one of the strongest and most important castles in England. In 1067 William the Conqueror instructed the building of the castle on his way to London to take the throne. In 1502 Henry VIII inherited the castle. On 17 November 1652 Cromwell’s Council of State ordered its demolition, making way for this newly built loft apartment within the castle boundary. Just 3 minutes walk from shops bars and restaurants, downstairs shower & cloakroom, gas central heating and WIFI.

Take a break and unwind at this peaceful oasis. Nestled alongside the meandering river Thames in the south Oxfordshire countryside you’ll find Dorchester. Steeped in history, once a bustling Roman town and a prominent route for pilgrims. We are situated right on the edge of the village; no where near busy roads so it’s blissfully quiet - just the sheep in the field and the church bells. We have some lovely pubs and a great farm shop selling local produce. And Oxford is only 15 mins away!

Delightful 1 bedroom detached studio with private entrance and onsite parking. Character, spacious open plan living, beautifully furnished, vaulted ceilings and large walk-in shower room. Outside seating area with lovely views over main garden. Ideal for a relaxing break with local walks and renowned country pub less than a 10 min walk. Brightwell Baldwin is a small hamlet close to the market and historic town of Watlington. Henley-on-Thames and Oxford City Centre are a short drive away.

We invite you to stay in our spacious 1-bedroom apartment in central Wallingford. Situated on the second floor of a historic building in the beautiful town square. The apartment has one bright and airy bedroom with a comfortable King size bed, a modern bathroom with shower over bath and a well appointed kitchen/lounge/diner. The convenient location is ideal for exploring Wallingford, Oxford and the surrounding areas. With allocated parking it is the perfect retreat for a memorable stay.

Modern studio with comfy Ikea bed, fully fitted kitchen including dishwasher, fridge/freezer, oven and hob, toaster, kettle, microwave and a Nespresso coffee machine. There is free wifi and full Sky TV with Netflix. There is also full central heating. The studio is in a beautiful rural location well away from our historic house. So visitors may come and go as they please. There is ample parking directly in front of the studio. We are 10 minutes drive from Didcot Parkway station.

Gardeners’ Cottage (Georgian stable conversion)

An entirely self contained cottage, recently converted from a Georgian stable and gardeners’ lodge. While adjacent to the owners property it is entirely separate, with its own secure parking and EV charger. Located in a small village, with two pubs on doorstep. Market town of Wallingford (setting for “Midsomer Murders”) is short walk, many amenities including boat rides on the River Thames an outdoor heated pool (summer), great restaurants and shops including Waitrose.

This private garden room is centrally located in Didcot within easy walking distance of all facilities. Didcot Parkway railway station only 4 minutes walk away offers trains to London (39 minutes ) Oxford (15 minutes ) Bath ( 48 minutes ) Bristol (63 minutes), as well as buses to Milton Park, Harwell Campus, Oxford and surrounding towns . Short walk to town for restaurants, and shopping. Private parking and access to the lodge.

The Den

The Den is in the picturesque hamlet of Preston Crowmarsh which is conveniently situated for Henley-on-Thames and Oxford. The property is a 2 bedroom barn in an idyllic quiet location, close to the river Thames. Free on-site parking Garden view Sky Tv including Netflix, Sky Sports and Amazon Prime

Annex with its own access and pretty courtyard garden. Off-street parking. Check in is from 3pm, check out is 11am 15 minute walk to Caversham, 30 minute walk to Reading Station. King size bed with good quality linen and a well equipped bathroom and kitchen. Doggie friendly!
