Surrounded by peaceful countryside yet conveniently close to Ayr’s many attractions, the property is a short drive for enjoying beautiful beaches, renowned golf courses, Ayr racecourse, Culzean Castle, Robert Burns attractions, Brig o’ Doon, and many other local treasures. Whether you're looking for a one night business stopover, a couple of nights to attend a wedding at the Brig O'Doon, or a self catering holiday break, Doonbank Cottage's Bothy offers an exclusive, flexible & private accommodation. The Bothy is a beautifully presented & spacious, one bed detached house. Set in 4 acres of woodland on the banks of the River Doon & forming part of Doonbank Cottage's woodland garden, it is a very peaceful and quiet location. One (medium sized) dog allowed.

Stop! Listen! All you can hear are birds, the waves and the occasional tractor. Get away from it all when you stay in the Wee Beach Hut a custom build shepherds hut with its own enclosed area surrounded by farmland .The beach is a 5 minute walk. Perfect for kayaking,paddle boarding or just plain old swimming. Go wild in the water or sit and sip a sundowner on the decking. Surrounded by fields there can on occasion be farm smells and sounds of tractors sowing,spreading or harvesting.

Kincora, 2 bed holiday house, 50m from the beach

Located in the centre of Whiting Bay with stunning views of the Clyde. The house has a lovely garden which is perfect for BBQs in summer and in the lounge there is an open fire which is great for cosy evenings in winter. The house comes with bedding, towels, wifi, a fully equipped kitchen, washing machine, dishwasher, coffee machine and two bathrooms, both with showers. There is plenty of free parking and there is a bus stop opposite the house. Saturday to Saturday bookings only.

The Signal Box is a cosy retreat to switch off in nature. On the edge of Galloway Forest Park and within the UNESCO Biosphere, it’s surrounded by wildlife. Culzean Castle and Country Park is a 40-min drive. Nearby, wild swimming is available at Girvan Beach, Galloway Forest Park, and the Water of Minnoch in Glen Trool. Galloway Forest highlights include scenic trails, Bruce’s Stone, and the Red Deer Range. On the edge of the Dark Sky Park, it’s perfect for stargazing.

It is a private and exceptionally comfortable space featuring a roll top bath with views of open countryside. The secluded and sheltered covered decking area with woodburner allows you to enjoy nature all year round. The local grocery shop is a 5 minute walk, with many restaurants and outdoor attractions only a short drive.

Wee Bothy at Carnell Estates

Dog-friendly, the Wee Bothy is within the gardens of a 2000 acre working estate in open countryside yet only 10 mins to Kilmarnock, 15 mins to Ayr & Troon and 30 mins from Glasgow.
