Woodland Hideaway in Dunsmuir near Mt. Shasta

The Woodland Hideaway has two bedrooms: one with a king size bed & master bath & one with a queen. Another full bath is close by. Two cots are also available. The living room has comfortable seating, a pool table, wood burning stove, and a 56” Smart TV. A second living area includes a gas fireplace, comfortable seating, dining area, desk and a picture window which looks out into a canopy of fir, pine, holly & black oak trees. The kitchen is fully stocked and we also have a washer & dryer.

Peaceful cozy cottage with fishing and access to Fall and Tule Rivers, launch included. On private 375 acre family cattle ranch. We raise cows, pigs, ducks, and chickens. Winter snow, Spring animal babies every place you look, summer swimming, fishing, boating fire pit, star gazing, Fall Harvest, fresh fruits and vegetables to share, we process our gardens by canning, preserving, and cook cook cook. Nestled at the end of a quiet country road just outside of Mt Shasta, this lovely guest house offers a quiet, cozy, and relaxing space with Mountain View’s in almost every direction. The hand-crafted interior includes a full kitchen and gas range, full bathroom, queen size bed and full couch for extra sleeping space. There is also a 50’ lap pool with stunning views of Mt. Shasta that is available for guests to use. Also you may enjoy the faint sound of the train in the distance.

Shasta is only 3 miles away. It is also conveniently located close to Lake Siskiyou and Mount Shasta Ski resort. There are nearby hiking and biking trails. Whether you just want to relax, and/or get out and see the beautiful Mount Shasta area, the Sugar Pine is a great place to be!

It is a 4-minute drive from downtown, a quarter mile from the headwaters, and .2 miles walk to the Peace Garden.

Whether you spend the day hiking to the peak of Castle Crags or snowboarding at Mt. Shasta Ski Park, you'll come home to a cozy wood-burning stove. The PCT is an 8 minute drive, Mt. Shasta City is a 8-10 min drive, and McCloud/Mt. Shasta Ski Park is just a 20-25 beautiful drive.
