The perfect place for exploring the north of Shetland mainland and the outlying islands. This is a elegant retreat on two levels including a large kitchen/dining room, downstairs bathroom and upstairs bedrooms and living area. For families there are child locks, stair gates, cot and high chair available upon request. Part of the downstairs is locked off for work space and will be in use through the day. There are two entrances so your stay will remain private. The View is on a small estate

This traditional stone croft house was fully renovated & extended in 2015. It now has a light, modern interior, holding on to some traditional features. 3 bedrooms are light and in neutral colours. The open plan living kitchen area boasts a vaulted ceiling and country cottage style kitchen, with walk in larder cupboard. Relax in the evening in front of a roaring fire, or explore the beach which is just a 2 minute walk away! A great location to explore Yell, Unst, Fetlar & the north of Shetland.

Waddle Self Catering

The Waddle is a traditional Shetland croft house, refurbished to offer a homely and comfortable stay for guests. Situated in a peaceful, quiet, remote location just over a mile from the nearby village of Walls, tucked in under the hill overlooking a sea-loch, it's a perfect place to enjoy Shetlands wildlife, scenery, peace and freedom. The Waddle is situated on an active croft. We have approximately 250 sheep with lambing in the spring, silage baling in the summer and feeding in the winter.

Modern, newly refurbished chalet in a quiet area of Baltasound. The property is light, airy and surprisingly spacious. It’s in a perfect location for exploring Unst, with its many beaches, walks and interesting places to visit, as well as the neighbouring islands of Yell and Fetlar. Conveniently located near shops and within walking distance of the leisure centre. The chalet has many features to make it more accessible including a ramp, accessible toilet & shower if required. Located at the very heart of Shetland, with spectactular views & abundant nature, Orwick Lodge is a great base for exploring the Shetland Islands. Minutes from quiet rural beaches, the famous Hams o Roe, trying to spot an otter passing the window or waking up to Shalders on the patio, in 2018 Shetland had 2 pods of Orcas circumnavigating the islands. At evening you can enjoy the award winning Frankies fish & chips, enjoy complimentary mussels from our farm, or seek out Shetland music.

East-Gate Selfcatering

East-Gate was built new in 2018 the property is located in central Shetland and beautifully finished. Outside the patio door takes you onto a decked area which you can sit out on for your morning cuppa or evening glass of wine or to simply take in the scenery . It has the latest air to air heating and air con. We are very lucky to have a hot spot for otter sighting on our door step just a short walk down the field. The sea views and coastal walks makes this an ideal tranquil location.

Traditional crofter's cottage in peaceful Unst

A traditional Shetland Crofter's cottage in Baliasta, Unst, Shetland. Close by to the Loch of Cliff, near to the local shops and leisure centre. We absolutely love our little spot and enjoy opening it up to our many well-travelled guests. The cottage is very cosy, has a wood burning stove, and a good-sized garden. Please be aware though, that it is a very old house and as such has some rustic quirks. While we are happy to accommodate children please be aware all beds are doubles.

Wethersta Cottage is located on the Shetland mainland and is ideally situated for exploring all parts of Shetland. Conveniently situated near the village of Brae, easy driving distance to anywhere in Shetland. Our cosy cottage is deceptively spacious with 2 good sized bedrooms., kitchen/diner, lounge area, shower room, decking area and large parking area. Small pets are welcome, as long as they are house trained, and you tidy up after them.

The Peerie Neuk is a sustainably built tiny eco home with all the comforts of a cosy house just a bit tinier! There is a double bed and fold out sofa, suitable for one adult or two children. There’s is a small kitchen with hob, kettle and little fridge (large enough for two bottles of prosecco 🤣). There is a wood burning stove with oven. The oven will keep things warm. There’s on demand hot water, shower and compost toilet.
