Waddle Self Catering

The Waddle is a traditional Shetland croft house, refurbished to offer a homely and comfortable stay for guests. Situated in a peaceful, quiet, remote location just over a mile from the nearby village of Walls, tucked in under the hill overlooking a sea-loch, it's a perfect place to enjoy Shetlands wildlife, scenery, peace and freedom. The Waddle is situated on an active croft. We have approximately 250 sheep with lambing in the spring, silage baling in the summer and feeding in the winter.

Old Moorens

Old Moorens is a cosy, traditional crofthouse on the rugged and beautiful West-side of Shetland. Charming and full of character, the house is situated only 200 metres from a quiet, shingly beach with beautiful sunset views. As well as this, it is only a short, 5 minute walk, to the main West-side bus route. The perfect base for exploring the many attractions Shetland has to offer in all seasons. Fresh, light and airy in the summer months with a wood burning stove for the colder nights.

The Old Sea Barn, Hillswick, Shetland

The Old Sea Barn is a converted steading right on the shore of spectacular Ura Firth, part of St Magnus Bay in the North Mainland of Shetland. Hillswick, Northmavine is a lovely village, the epicentre of Shetland's most beautiful landscape. It's handy for the cliffs of Eshaness and the wonderful sandy beach of West Ayre. Set behind the 18th-century former Church of Scotland Manse, but with plenty of privacy and parking, The Old Sea Barn offers comfortable accommodation for four.

Mavine Cottage, Lerwick, Shetland

A cosy stone built cottage, circa 1800, in a superb location on the outskirts of Lerwick. Gorgeous sea view, with the Sands of Sound beach just down the road and great access to coastal walks. Easy walking distance to Tesco and the Clickimin Leisure Complex, with Lerwick town centre only 1.25 miles away. There's a well equipped kitchen with a pully for drying clothes and also a good size living room. Mavine Cottage is a great base from which to explore all Shetland has to offer.

Scarpoe's Kitchen, Herra, Yell, Shetland

The former crofthouse is the perfect spot to get away from it all. It is easy to lose yourself in “da Herra,” a magical place where ancient legends of giants and trolls abound. The air is clean and summer days are long. A feeling of age, peace and endurance is ever present in this beautiful valley.

Sea Winds, is a newly renovated c. 1760 two-storey listed townhouse located in the picturesque south end of Commercial Street, Lerwick. With beautiful open views over Bain's Beach, you can enjoy life by the sea with all the modern comforts of the house has to offer, including a wood burning stove. Close to the BBC series 'Shetland 'Jimmy Perez' home', and minutes walk from the shops, restaurants and pubs in Lerwick, Sea Winds makes an excellent base to tour the isles.

3 Swinister

In this peaceful location on a croft that’s got sheep and hens you will be located at Swinister which is situated at Ronas Voe near Ollaberry and Hillswick villages. The traditional croft house is divided into two self catering houses each with completely separate entrances and facilities. Ideal location for exploring Ronas Hill, Eshaness, Uyea and Fedaland to name only three of the Shetland beauty sites. There are fresh water lochs close by used by trout fishermen.

Situated across from a beautiful sandy beach sits the newly refurbished “Da Haaf”, a 4 bedroomed, light and airy spacious property. With an open plan fully equipped fitted kitchen/dining room/sitting room with wood burning stove, 3 double bedrooms and one twin bedroom, 2 with en suites, a family bathroom, library and laundry room, it is sure to feel like a home from home. Da Haaf is in a lovely central location, situated just 10 minutes drive from Lerwick.

The Peerie Neuk is a sustainably built tiny eco home with all the comforts of a cosy house just a bit tinier! There is a double bed and fold out sofa, suitable for one adult or two children. There’s is a small kitchen with hob, kettle and little fridge (large enough for two bottles of prosecco 🤣). There is a wood burning stove with oven. The oven will keep things warm. There’s on demand hot water, shower and compost toilet.

Cosy Home with a view

This modern, comfortable self catering house is a great base for relaxing after a busy day exploring Shetland . Although it is an annexe to owners home it is completely private .There are spectacular views across the bay where seals ,otters and sometimes Orcas can be spotted. There is a small beach 2 minutes walk from the accommodation also a swimming pool and local shop within easy walking distance .

Set in the picturesque south end of the town known as The Lodberries, No 5 Kveldsro Gardens is a one-bedroom house with kitchen opening into living room. The iconic Jimmy Perez house as seen in the TV series "Shetland" can be seen from the kitchen window. The town centre is a few minutes' walk along the seafront. You can relax in the patio garden after a busy day exploring your surroundings.
