New home centrally located in John Day Walking distance to Kam Wah Chung Museum, County Fairgrounds, Local parks, Walking paths and Grocery shopping. Downtown is 5-6 blocks to Restaurants and more. Home is in quiet, low traffic neighborhood with covered off street parking. Primary Bedroom has queen bed and its own bathroom with step-in shower. Second bedroom has Full size bed with bathroom directly across hallway. Fully supplied kitchen, comfortable Living room, bonus TV room and central HVAC.

High Desert Hideaway

Pets allowed inside if potty trained. Just a 5.3 miles from town. It is on the south side of Highway 20 east of Burns, you must go past Red Barn Road. There is red reflectors to help find the driveway at night. It’s a on a pivot that with permission and caution about buildings, pivot, equipment and the highway you may shoot ground squirrels and jack rabbits! There is a corral for horses and a kennel for dogs. It is centrally located for horse activities like cuttings, brandings.

The Cawlfield House (Circa 1929)

The historic Cawlfield House was built by my grandfather in 1929. It has been beautifully restored with modern amenities and comforts. It has an updated Kitchen, Living, Dining, Bath, Office & two Bedrooms (1 plush queen bed down, 1 plush queen bed up & 1 trundle bed). Many of the furnishings came from Joanna Gaines collections. We've sincerely strived to consider your needs, including A/C. We'd love to host you! We are confident you'll enjoy the homes comforts and history!

Looking for a vacation rental cabin in Sumpter, Oregon? Well, look no more! The Lazy Moose Cabin is a vacation rental cabin that offers lodging accommodations year-round. The Lazy Moose Cabin offers an intimate retreat for 2. The cabin is tastefully decorated in a wildlife theme and is outfitted and supplied with just about anything you will need for your fun vacation in Sumpter. The cabin is located in the City Limits just 3 blocks east of the Downtown District.

Stellar Cabin

Wake Up to Wedding Cake! Stellar Cabin can be your private hideaway. Soak in the wood fired hot tub and gaze up at a blanket of stars. Cook a steak on the grill, make dinner in the fun cook shack and sit around and watch evening come. John Day Fossil Beds are close by. Hike Blue Basin, swim in the river or dig for fossils! We are out of range for most cell service, but it's close by. Wifi available at host house if needed! And pets are welcome!

LITTLE COUNTRY HOME

Small cozy home, centrally located in John Day. Close to downtown, parks, fair grounds and next to Kam Wah Chung Museum. Two bedrooms, one bath, WiFi, and driveway parking. Will comfortably sleep four in private rooms, and a queen sofa bed in the living room. Nice covered patio for summer time relaxing. Fenced yard and secure access with motion sensor lighting. Basic amenities include shampoo, conditioner, coffee, tea and basic spices.

Sandhill Suite

The Sandhill Suite is a newly remodeled home conveniently located five miles east of Burns just off highway 20. This cozy two bedroom home was remodeled in early 2023 and has lots of amenities to offer. Its a great option for extended stays or a quick weekend getaway and sleeps up to four people. Pets are welcome and will be safely contained in the fully fenced yard. Come enjoy Harney County beauty and experience the Sandhill Suite!

Baby Bear’s Playhouse

Baby Bear's Playhouse is conveniently located across the street from the grocery store, 3 blocks from downtown restaurants & shopping, and an easy 2-minute drive to the hospital. This tiny house/studio offers a large yard for your pet and kiddos to play, plenty of off-street parking and a shared picnic area complete with BBQ and firepit. Dixie Creek Bungalows, a not so Tiny, Tiny Home

Dixie Creek Bungalows is located just a half a block from Historic downtown Prairie City. Walking distance from anything you may need while in town. We may not have a view but we have a great cozy environment inside and out for you to enjoy and relax in. Only 15 minutes from the Strawberries and John Day. A great spot when visiting the Painted Hills, Sumpter or just passing through to Joseph or Idaho.

The Mickel House

Welcome to the Mickel House! This cute house is located just blocks away from a cute park. It’s also a few miles from Burns where there is a good selection of restaurants and shopping. We are close to the Steens Mountains, Malhuer Wildlife refuge and so much more! Harney County is the best place to bird watch in the spring, with over 300 different species of birds migrating through!
