Relax with the family or enjoy a couples getaway at this beautiful peaceful hideaway. Watch and listen to the river flow by. Fish out your front door. Eagles, ducks, deer, and an occasional moose will visit you. Kayak the river. Swim in nearby mountain lakes. Hike to a waterfall. Relax by one of the gas fireplaces indoors or on the patio and read a book, play a game, watch a movie. There’s no cell service but we do have Wi-Fi at the cabin. Please note; the closest grocery store is 31 miles away.

Getaway cottage on a private beach on the majestic Kootenay lake. Gorgeous view of the mountains and the city of Nelson. Right next to famous Pulpit rock hiking trail. From parking to home there are 5 stair cases & 112 steps, it's sadly not for mobility reduced individuals. If available, we ca help with your bags. Nelson is a very special city. It has many restaurants and store that offer organic foods as well as vegan options. Lots of artists and galleries to shop from or simply to visit.

A lockable shed for your sport gear is provided. Please note that the home has a strict no pet/party rule. Approved non registered guests only (max 4).

John's Walk lakeside path passes right by the house, leading you to attractive Lakeside Park. Our beach provides a peaceful spot to relax on the lake shore.

The Rusty Bear is our awesome home in Procter Point. Our rock beach on Kootenay Lake gives way to a world of watersports possibilities including kayaking, SUP and world-class fishing. The small community of Procter offers a General Store (complete with fuel and liquor) as well as the Village Bakery (with their famous cinnamon buns). Hiking and biking the Proctologist trails are just out the front door. Golfing is around the corner. Dining, if not on our amazing deck, is a short drive.

Located 31 miles north of Bonners Ferry and 8 miles from the Canadian Border, this home is surrounded by thousands of acres of public land accessible by car, ATV, bike or on foot and has RV parking. Three minutes from Kokanee Provincial Park and 10 minutes from the Balfour Ferry. Nelson is a twenty minute scenic drive along the West Arm of Kootenay Lake. Kokanee Zipline is a short 5 minute drive and we are on the doorstep of many famous mountain bike trails in Kokanee Glacier Park.
