LA CASA COLIBRI Overview: La Casa Colibri ‘The Hummingbird House’ was designed to take in the lake views from every room in the house, cascading down the mountainside with huge amounts of glass framing in the panoramic views of Lake Atitlan and surrounding, perfectly cone-shaped volcanoes. At approximately 5200 feet above sea level, the Lake Atitlan area enjoys year-round spring-like weather (70s to low 80s during the day and 60s at night). Although temperatures remain relatively constant throughout the year the weather is marked by two distinctive seasons: the rainy season (May to October) and the dry season (November to April). During the rainy season the mountains and volcanoes surrounding the lake are verdant green. The mornings are generally crystal clear, while the afternoons bring spectacular showers that are a sight to behold as they roll in over the lake. During the dry season it is rare to receive any precipitation at all. La Casa Colibri has five luxurious guest rooms each with en-suite bath. Four rooms have spacious balconies overlooking the lake. Two rooms have deep soak tubs with separate showers.

From our road entrance up to the house there are 150 steps to hike, well worth it for the incredible view!
