The Happy Red Cabin

I'm a small cabin located in a wonderful setting with other houses on gravel roads. My owners put their hearts and souls into my creation. I have 2 BR's & BR's, great room, kitchen, W/D, 2 porches, patio and a fire pit. Located 2.5 miles from Saluda, NC - a delightful small WNC town. I'm up the hill from a small private lake *as of summer '25 - lake temporarily drained for long term repairs* NO WI-FI, weak cell. Guest pass for lake property provided. NO PETS or SMOKING - strict policy.

A trip to charming Saluda is like a step back in time and Liberty Hall log cabin welcomes you to sit a while on the front porch and take in the spectacular mountain views. A hike on the nature conservancy trail right outside the front door and chasing fireflies at dusk make this an ideal spot to relax and unwind. Our cozy cottage is just steps from Judds Peak and 2 miles from downtown, where there is always food and fun! The Gorge Zipline is located in our quaint little town and the Green River has hiking, tubing, kayaking, white water rafting, rock climbing! The towns of Hendersonville, Flat Rock and Asheville are just minutes away.

Stunning 1927 Historic Caboose X61 Traincar

This 1927 Southern Railroad Caboose X61 is located right in the heart of the Charming Historic Railroad town of Saluda, North Carolina overlooking the railroad tracks, once the steepest railroad grade in the United States until the trains stopped running through Saluda. One of 10 built in 1927 for Central of Georgia and approaching its 100th Birthday.
