Gum Tree Studio - The perfect country retreat!

With amazing views and the Taste Tasman cycle trail at the end of the road this is the perfect retreat to get away from it all. We're lucky to be surrounded by farmland, countryside, mountains, sea, National Parks, fresh air and birdsong. Just a short 10 minute drive from the popular village of Mapua and 10 minutes from Motueka this artistic, modern, roomy and stylish studio is a perfect getaway. The Studio is located at the rear of our home property, down a private drive, with ample parking.

Idyllic Moutere Mountain View Studio

A sunny country cottage and former art studio, is set in our organic garden with abundant bird live and view of the mountains. Lovingly renovated it's fully self contained with a beautiful deck where you can enjoy colourful sunsets and a wonderful country night sky. We are 8 minutes drive away from Motueka and one of the regions most popular cafes and 1 km down the road you can join up with the Great Taste Bike Trail. We are central to the national parks, beaches and many more adventures

Kaiteriteri, Marahau, Split Apple-Kowhai Cottage

A beautiful home in a stunning location overlooking Marahau, Adele Island and Abel Tasman National Park. Built with earth block and wood, this home has a warm and inviting character, surrounded by native forest, you will relax to the sound of Bell birds and Tuis. The master bedroom opens onto a private patio facing north, to capture morning sun and the ever-present view of the National Park. Two further bedrooms look out over native forest, creating plenty of space for family or guests.

The Chooks Nook

The Chooks nook has had a make over, now modernised and ready to host again a home away from home. Tucked up in a quiet native garden surrounded by bird song and fruit trees for you to enjoy when in season, and of course our four cheeky chooks. Our seperate, private cottage sits on our 2,250sqm property, with the great taste trail right on our doorstep and the gateway to the Abel Tasman 15 minutes drive away. Why wouldn’t you want to come and see what this amazing place has to offer.

Tinyhouse Modern Retreat "The Apple"

Welcome to "The Apple", our Tinyhouse on wheels. Situated outside of the delightful township of Motueka we have built this tiny retreat and are super excited to be able to offer this unique accommodation experience to others. Lie in bed and watch the stars or enjoy the view out across the Tasman bay. Staying in a tinyhouse is an experience. Modern, bright and comfortable "the Apple" is a perfect escape, a relaxing weekend getaway with the beautiful Tasman region at your doorstep.

We do not charge any extra cleaning fees. Our home is quiet, away from the main busy part of Kaiteriteri but the tracks mean you are only minutes away from its world famous beaches. We are situated just 500m away from the start of the Kaiteriteri mountain bike park. Plenty of Parking. Contactless check in.

Tranquility at its best, our super colourful studio sits next to our cottage with a fence providing privacy and faces a peaceful reserve leading down to the beach , swimming is tide dependent .Spectacular views of Tasman Bay and walking distance to the saltwater baths, the mariner coffee cart and Toad hall which won NZ cafe of the year 2024 .A five-minute drive to the Motueka township and a 20-minute drive to The beginning of The Abel Tasman National Park

Welcome to Hairy Hobbit Cottage, nestled in the Brooklyn Valley hills near Motueka, Nelson, New Zealand. Hairy Hobbit is a modern self contained holiday cottage offering peaceful accommodation in 70 acres of native bush, bursting with birdlife and fantastic views across Tasman Bay. Ideal for day trips to Nelson or Golden Bay or to visit the huge scenery of the Abel Tasman and Kahurangi National Parks and Kaiteriteri beach.

Stunning views from warm cosy yurt

The handcrafted and wool insulated yurt is warm and cosy year round and has a skylight to gaze at the stars at night. A private retreat in the native bush with outdoor kitchen, bath/shower and composting toilet all with amazing views of the Motueka river valley and the Tasman Bay beyond.

Quiet and cosy Motueka

The master bedroom and en-suite in my home is set up as a private Airbnb room. It has its own car parking area, entrance door, and kitchenette. I live in the rest of the house. So its like staying in your own motel room but without that usual bland and touristy motel feeling.
