Peaceful, if you want a quiet nights sleep in a self contained cottage, this is it! Panoramic sea views in a rural garden setting & native bush surrounds. Don't forget to go outside and look up at the stunning night sky, you'll see the milky way. 5 minutes drive from Takaka & central to everywhere in Golden Bay. Very comfortable and modern bathroom with underfloor heating. Private deck from bedroom with sea view. Full kitchen facilities. Smart TV with movies. Wonderful birdlife.

Beachfront escape

Located in a quiet rural setting along side the Kahurangi National Park, with beach access just over the road this is a great spot to base yourself for Golden Bay's adventures or relax with a book for a picnic on the beach. Its a short walk to the café and shops and all sorts of options around for activities including: kayaking, beach biking, a variety of hikes, fishing, swimming, caving and rock climbing. This unit is on the ground floor of our home. We live upstairs with our 2 children.

Located in the very heart of Takaka township, this charming, comfortable three bedroom house is a great base for exploring the extraordinary natural environment of Golden Bay. Stroll or bike through the small town and enjoy cafes, restaurants, galleries and the Movie Theatre. Wake to the pleasant sounds of the Saturday Village Market, buy your fresh produce and meet the local characters. "The hipster vibe of Cuba Street but you sit and look out and the mountains and it is amazingly peaceful."

Studio by the beach

Everyone tells us they wished they stayed longer! Treat yourself to the peace and tranquillity of our place! The studio has everything you need for a relaxed stay. It's a large colourful room with a comfy Queen size bed. It is nestled in our large garden with just a short walk down to the beach which is great for walking , swimming or fishing! Golden Bay has so much to offer with beaches, bush-walks, cafes and lots of artisans and we are only a few minutes drive from the renowned Mussel Inn!

We are situated about a 10 min drive to beginning of northern end of Abel Tasman Nat Park. Continental Breakfast which includes cereals, fresh fruit,bread,milk and spreads. We have two rooms available, both of which you will have to yourselves on booking. 1 bedroom with 2 single beds and the other in the main area has a King size bed. Also separate laundry/toilet/shower area. Private entry and completely private to our upstairs dwelling. We are also a very quiet household so keep that in mind

ParaPara River Retreat, tranquil, private, cosy

This well crafted stone cottage is close to beautiful Golden Bay bush walks, old historic gold workings, lonely beaches, the Mussel Inn, swimming holes and much more. A striking building nestled in a tranquil and private setting, makes for a relaxing stay that would suit couples and solo adventurers alike. Literally on Kahurangi National Park's doorstep! The host's partner has developed an extensive network of tracks , some easy walks and some more challenging, with great views of the bay.

Tata Beach Cottage

Beautiful Tata Beach, Golden Bay. Our little cottage is tucked close into Tata Beach, just a short stroll for your morning dip. Warm and sunny, this clean and easy care space is the perfect place to come to unwind, relax and allow nature to wrap its blanket around you. We have kept the space simple and uncluttered and love the simplicity of the cottage. With some recycled building products, no fussy modern ornaments, no chairs and tables this is a small and uncomplicated place to relax.

Cosy, zen studio in the heart of Takaka village

Welcome to our garden property just 100m from the main Takaka shops. The studio is large and cosy with its own bathroom. You will enjoy privacy with your own deck but we are always around for a chat and love meeting new people. There are no cooking facilities (but we do have a fridge, kettle, toaster etc so you can enjoy your morning coffee and muesli etc). You are just two minutes stroll away from some truly great cafes and restaurants - The Wholemeal Cafe is our favourite, open 7 days.

Romantic Getaway - The Caboose

Romantic Getaway. The Caboose is a handcrafted replica of a train carriage, with a small private garden. Set on a half acre property next to our historic farmhouse, centrally located at the outskirts of Motupipi, at the eastern side of Golden Bay, only 5 minutes drive from the beach and 5 minutes from Takaka township. The outdoor shower, bath and toilet are all in the private garden that can be accessed with stairs from the side of the balcony of The Caboose. Full cell phone coverage.

The 'Flax Pod' cabin in Pohara, amazing sea views

Our unique Flax Pod cabin is a repurposed shipping container with epic views of Golden Bay. It suits a relaxed couple, has a comfy queen bed, sofa and kitchenette. Large bi-folding doors open onto a deck where you can totally relax, enjoy a cold beer, sink into a quirky hot tub and soak up the sea views. Its in a great location and a great base to explore Golden Bay from. Enjoy getting back to the basics, dozing in a hammock, a friendly weka or two and a spectacular night sky.

In beautiful Golden Bay just 10 minutes drive from the main Town of Takaka, hidden away on a small Lifestyle block is our Family Home and The 2 bedroom Cottage which is available for you to rent. With walking distance to a quiet peaceful beach . Golden bay is full of other attractions and the accommodation is right in the middle of it. Our family of four live near by and will respect your privacy but the same time we are here to help you out with any questions you may have .
